Top 4: Who will be first to win his next 2 majors?
Which player in the current Top 4 will be the first one to win 2 more majors (in Murray's case, his first two)?
Which ones do you think he will win?
Respectfully,

i think clay warrior will snatch RG and wimby this year. if he runs the tables on clay and i have a feeling that he will this year, say goodbye to wimbledon. he will go after it.

I love Murray, but I would not include him here until he first wins one. And Fed... yeah if he wins another one he'll probably retire in Sampras like blaze of glory.

That is unless he puts up a performance as horrendous as in the last year's wimby final once again, looking like a scared little schoolboy against the yard bully

The Wimbledon winner will be first to win 2.
Yes, I know that wasn't a poll choice
If you don't want to name a player, you can name a specific single tournament winner if you think that tournament is the key.

He's part of the top 4.. so I included him and I think he has a reasonable chance to win one this year if he keeps improving.
And if he wins one, I think he is very likely to win two once the monkey is off his back.
For example, if he were to win the US Open, the Australian Open wouldn't be so far fetched.

Mr. CD, I think Nadal winning Roland Garros is almost a foregone conclusion as long as he is not hurt.
So that gives him the advantage in the race to 2 more majors .
If Wimbledon is sunny and dry through week 2, then he has a definite chance to pull it off.
I think Mr. Federer appears to be pulling out all the stops focusing on the grass season. I think he wants Wimbledon and/or the Olympics in his trophy case. If he gets one or both of those, I see his confidence for the US Open going sky high and would have to like his chances there.
Djokovic's best chance to hold onto his #1 ranking will be taking Wimbledon and the US Open, so that's definitely enough motivation...
If Murray managed to pull off Wimbledon, I wouldn't bet against him in the US Open, he would also be on cloud 9.
But I think it is more likely he could take his first major at the US Open followed by the Australian Open.

Re: Top 4: Who will be first to win his next 2 majors?
I would not like it, I would much prefer Djokovic (and I don't think Nadal is better than Djokovic on clay when Djokovic is at his best), but I have the unpleasant feeling that this year feels good for Nadal, I don't know the general atmosphere reminds me of 2010, even year like 2010, Djokovic making lots of unforced errors against Murray last saturday, general level of tennis being quite disappointing with some older players getting bad (I don't speak of Federer but players further in the rankings) and no newcomers like in 2010, Federer playing too much imo to be fit for Wimbledon, Murray still has to learn from Lendl to be more mentally ready imo
... and what has Nadal done in february ? he's a raging guy who wants to win win win and now revenge ...
Then I can imagine Nadal winning RG and Wimbledon this year.
But I will ardently support Djokovic, Murray, Del Potro ... and of course Federer, esp in Wimbledon

Re: Top 4: Who will be first to win his next 2 majors?
If last year's results are anything to go by, then Djokovic. But I'm not very confident about his winning Wimbledon again. It'd be interesting to see who actually adds two to their slam count first, though.
It'd be more interesting to see if anyone votes 'None of them will win 2 more majors'.

That's Raonic's and Tomic's vote. They want the older guys to go away...

Re: Top 4: Who will be first to win his next 2 majors?
We saw at the australian open the top 4s tennis level is very close to each other. So it's difficult to predict. Considering Djokovic was less dominant at the AO then in 2011 he could be overtaken.
Nadals best two tournaments are coming up, so I give him a slightly bigger chance to win them and be the first. If he does I don't think he will win a lot of GS after that.
