Default World #17 Kei Nishikori's Rise

Here is the Deuce Article on Kei: http://www.atpworldtour.com/News/DEU...Nishikori.aspx

Kei has broken into the top 20 after the Australian open, (number 12 in the race, 17 in the rankings)

How high can he rise now?

Definitely top 10 at least. Don't think he has that much to defend in the next few months.

For some perspective, in the next 5 masters, Nishikori is defending 35 points for all 5 together.

He & Big John will reach top 10.The major thing hindering him is his serve.I wish Nishikori can borrow Isner'serve.

Asians grow up slower than other people. That why Asian athletes can play at older ages(Date-Krumm played at 40).He has a lot of empty rooms left to improve.

My only concern about Kei is his physical size. Since there are so many big guys in the sport today. But I love Kei and want him to get as high in the rankings as he can

Hopefully top 8 by the end of the year, for real. I think he can achieve that.

Great example. Kei is a solid player who will give the top guys a run for their money. I can't see him winning the truly big events but you just never know.
