Re: Roger Federer : The Swiss King's Quest For 100 Titles
I am still pissed of he lost that Halle title and couldnt get the grasscourt hattrick....
Just joking, couldnt be more happy with grass warrior. This season is such a huge success no matter what happens.
CD has been right all along, I feel like this thread has been a lucky charm for Federer since the very start.

Thanks CD, gracious as always. Good to see the old man do it one more time. Great news for tennis and more competition at the top now.

Re: Roger Federer : The Swiss King's Quest For 100 Titles
He should pass Mcenroe this year. Reaching Lendl would be very tough, but not impossible. Reaching 100 as good as impossible. This coming from a huge Federer fan.
Realistically, i think he should win 10 more.

i just got a call from my dad. he watched the match.
he said that the outcome was never in doubt in his mind today.
translation: he knew murray was going to fail.
rough deal for murray but it is what it is.

Re: Roger Federer : The Swiss King's Quest For 100 Titles
I was not a believer when I first saw this post, but now I'm starting to wonder... Well done Clay Death!
As for #76 I hope it's Olympics. Chances are very good, but competition will be very tough... Short of some health problems McEnroe will be caught this year - Roger's favorite indoor season is still to come.

Re: Roger Federer : The Swiss King's Quest For 100 Titles
Well, it all depends on how long he plays, and how long he stays healthy.
With his win today, he'll also equal Sampras at 10 years 10 months in the top 10 (missing just 1 week from 5). Can't see him dropping below 5.
That leaves just Lendl at ll some and Connors at 12 some in the top 5. Pretty unbelievable that it's actually within the realm of possibility now that he could match up with Connor's 12 years in the top 5.
