Of course they won't scream during the rally as it can be bad for Bellucci. But there's been a lot of screams and whistles when Mayer was about to serve.

MTF does not know what a crazy crowd. When Bellucci defeated Gonzalez in Santiago, the crowd disturbed just like a bit today as the way they disturbed Mayer today. Bellucci is clearly lacking confidence, I hope this victory is what was needed for him to recover his best tennis.

Disgusting crowd,disgusting choke.
However, Bellucci showed more heart and I went from rooting for Mayer to rooting for him

Oh, be quiet, the crowd was fine until it relized Mayer was taking 5 minutes to serve each time, going trough all the balls, having the ball boys bring the ball to him everytime. I was in the crowd, they started yelling "time" "time" and rightly so, and the chair did nothing about this too. So they got mad at Mayer.

And about Argentina VS Brazil football match, the crowd did nothing but support Nablandian the whole week cheering for him almost like a Brazilian every match he played, even against Know guys like Simon or Volandri, so please, hush.

Never like this, well Muster walked off in a DC tie against Brazil as the fans were shining mirrors in his face as he was about to serve. You are not going to get a golf crowd in Latin America it's that simple. Got to hit the round yellow thing irrespective of where they're playing.

As for limits, no lasers, shining mirrors, throwing flares you know the commonsense ones. Bellucci if he gets an Argentine in Bs As, will have the crowd against him.

And the umpire was ridiculous with his repeating "Obrigado", and not doing anything more. He was so afraid of the crowd that gave Mayer first serve at 40-30 in the 8th game instead of the point, thankfully Mayer won the point anyway.

I really hope the ATP will ban this joke of an umpire, and put him in futures.

You know they won't do anything since it happened against Leo Mayer, and not some top player. Put aside the fact that it wouldn't have happened in the first place if it was a top player.

Mayer thought this was a Copa Libertadores match, where the players, specially from Argentina, Paraguay, start to fall on the ground to get time and take minutes to put the ball back in play when they are winning. Mayer wanted to make this an all serve contest, taking endless amounts of time between each serve. The crowd caught him on this and started booing when the chair did nothing about it. He was taking longer than Nadal to serve.

Brazil only has one ATP tournament each year. This is the most important moment for tennis in Brazil this year.

I don't know why we just can't booing and play with the opponent during the match.

Destabilize the opponent is part of the context. If Bellucci plays the final against Nalbandian in Buenos Aires, he would have the same treatment. If he plays against Almagro, in Barcelona, would be equal.

Fortunately, we have patriotic crowd in Brazil.

Destabilize the opponent is part of the context (2)

Bellucci may not have played their best game of his career. However showed that the heart has to turn a game that seemed lost and Mayer in turn showed weak mentally.

Because that's not normal. Tennis is not football and the crowd has to behave.

Yes, but that's a player's duty, not the crowd's. Only shows how useless Bellucci is when the crowd has to do it for him.

In 95% of European tournaments it doesn't happen. Watch some of it for education.
