You were saving this.
Um. So yeah. Ginepri should retire. Harrison played good the first set, but awful the next two. Ginepri had millions of bp but Harrison was clutch. And that tie break was a disaster from Ginepri. Harrison played horrible tennis in return games but was clutch on serve and much more aggressive minded- why he can't play that way in return games, looking to move forward, I just don't understand.

Poor Robby, totally tanked after missing 2 MPs. He played well in the 2nd set, if he can keep that up I'm sure this will be a decent year for him.
Ryan's groundstrokes were still weak, those serves saved his ass, big time...

Great win for Ryan and tough loss for Robby with the brainfart in the tiebreak.

I'm happy with the result but Ginepri played better than Ryan today.
Ryan needs to step it up.

another ugly win for harrison. watching him get bossed around by washed-up ginepri during most of the rallies is disappointing. he continues to stand 8 ft behind the baseline (on a fast hc no less) shagging balls all day and getting no consistency of depth on his 2h bh. the positives are that he's using the slice more effectively and his serve has improved. he's a strong, uberfit kid who needs to step in, dictate and play more aggressively.

as a huge fan i am sad to say it, but please Robby, as a favor for those of us who have followed your career and its missed potential, please do us a favor and retire. it's painful watching one of your favorite players struggle with injuries for years and never quit. i don't remember the last season Genepri was not out for a good portion. RObby you always will be remembered but at some point we have to recognize the chance is gone
at the same time it's inspiring him never giving up but clear that Ginepri will never be back to his best form. shouldn't be surprised, and I'm not, but just sad at pondering and remembering the lapses and the 'almosts' for Ginepri over the last decade

Eh, you guys are panicking on Ginepri too soon. The guy historically always heats up during the summer and is a nonfactor the rest of the year. He has to be healthy though, no more swerving off the road to avoid squirrels.

Harrison beats old and out-of-form Ginepri in TB of 3d set So much for the big promise of American tennis

You can't deny the guy has talent. He won really close today, but he can show his best form tomrorow and this saturday. He won over Milos once, he can do it again.
He's young, every win is important.

Re: SJR2: Harrison bagels Ginepri 6-3, 2-6, 7-6(0)
Come on Ginepri got an horrible accidental injury last year, he's starting his come-back, you can't be too demanding about him.
Besides, I'm surprised about the comments that Harrison was only good on serve which don't fit the live scores stats : in third set, Harrison won 40% of return points to Ginepri 26%, that's quite an important gap.
If Harrison plays that defensive, he will have a lot of difficulties against Raonic or Anderson.
