Re: France pulls ahead of Canada 2-1
Disappointing from world #3 Dan Nestor.
USA won't get to play their North American brothers.

Re: France pulls ahead of Canada 2-1
In Davis Cup we've got probably the best double on the tour, really strong tonight again Mika and Julien. Allez !

I think they have great chemistry and are top 5 doubles team in world, it´s shame Llodra has already good partner in zimonjic and both are also trying to succeed in singles, together if they only would try in doubles they could be very succesfull.

Ummm... think the Bryan Bros would be the best doubles team in DC. But Llodra/Benneteau were amazing tonight - incredible returns from Jules of Milos' serve. They should stick with that pairing throughout DC rather than bringing Gasquet in instead of Julien - Gasquet hasn't got the mental strength to pull it out for France - Julien on the other hand was pumped up & really delivered for the team. Great chemistry, great skills.
Nestor paid the price for thinking Raonic's serve would be enough to make him the better doubles partner - should have gone for Vasek instead - Milos with a low first serve % is a useless doubles partner.

Re: France pulls ahead of Canada 2-1
In french TV, they said that Nestor asked to have Pospisil with him for the double but coach decided to put Raonic.

Re: France pulls ahead of Canada 2-1
yeah that makes more sense, i dont think nestor would have pushed for a last minute switch in doubles partner. the sportsnet commentator said that they spent 4 hours last night deciding who to play and decided that raonic was on a roll and with his serve he would be better. plus they said raonic really wanted to play. it should have been pospisil.

Laurendeau on choosing Raonic: "When a guy's on a roll, u want to keep it going."

I find it to be a bit of a bitch-slap to Nestor. Laurendeau clearly made the decision on Raonic playing well yesterday and not at all on who's best to play alongside Nestor.
I can't wait until someone replaces him.

Re: France pulls ahead of Canada 2-1
If Raonic really wanted to play and was confident in himself, I don't see a problem with the decision. It had to have been very tempting after watching Milos dispatch Benneteau with ease.
The way Nestor played today (as well as how well Benneteau and Llodra did play), it really wouldn't have mattered who they put in the 2nd spot anyway.
