Re: Should the centre court at Wimbledon be called "Roger Federer Arena"?
It doesn't have to be tennis related. There are plenty of other more worthy causes, for example: 2003's Undeniable Sex Palace

Thats a confusing name though for casual non-glory hunting fans. They might think its an arena full of goats fondling each other's ajde parts.

Fed should be honored by dubbing all backhand shanks "Feds"

How about simply Ajde Arena?
Ajde.
Edit: I should have known someone would have already posted that.
My post stays for posterity.

Re: Should the centre court at Wimbledon be called "Roger Federer Arena"?
Gooch transcends the notion of stadiums being named after players.

Re: Should the centre court at Wimbledon be called "Roger Federer Arena"?
i mean no they really shouldn't because the tournament Wimbledon itself is so much more impressive and prestigious than any individual players which is why i like the fact that they don't name their stadiums after players.
BUT I actually did vote yes just for the hell of it because the OP has a great point, no player has ever influenced the sport of tennis or had such an effect on the worlds perception of the game as ROGER FEDERER, and he certainly deserves some huge respect and acknowledgement once he has retired and something like this would definitely represent this.
i voted yes if only to make the point that if not the Wimlbedon Center Court, something great should be named after him or something should be done so that people in the sport are reminded of the greatness that he has brought to the game in his career

Best idea in this whole thread.
