Re: Livescoring Thread 2012 Cheer and Post to Your Hearts Content
i'll Second that
our man's in action in the Netherlands 2 all
VAMOS DELPO ! ! !
................................
one set closer to the second round ...
.................................
must admit I fell back to sleep ... started watching 5:45 a.m., and the match lasted 2-1/2 hours, 3 sets .... Llodra's a former title holder here, and he knew just how to play to Juan's weaknesses ..... happily, that wasnt enough ... Delpo seems improved at the net, came forward more than I remember, was rather successful there
anyway ... Delpo won 64 67 64
his second round opponent will be Slovakian Karol Beck, the qualifier who took out Petzschner in the first round ... these two have never played in the past ... but i'm guessing our man will make it thru to the semifinals, where he will most likely battle berdych ... then federer? for the final
what a tasty dish to set before the king

Is that a giant tennis ball? I couldn't figure out if it was in the venue or just on the corner of the TV screen.

From what I saw of the match, his form is bad.

Re: Livescoring Thread 2012 Cheer and Post to Your Hearts Content
Saw the last set, not particularly great his form, but Llodra is a tricky opponent and serve & volley game always gives punchers headache.
Glad he made it through.

Re: Livescoring Thread 2012 Cheer and Post to Your Hearts Content
Watching Delpo-Beck and he's up 2 breaks 3-0 in the first set and now he seems to have taken a medical timeout for some sort of nose/breathing problem? I don't get it...

He is terrible today. Forehands are mostly moonballs, Beck is outplaying him a lot of times

Pathetic. Berdych will bagel him I think.

Re: Livescoring Thread 2012 Cheer and Post to Your Hearts Content
What is worrying that his forehand has not much forward speed lately. It's more like a moonball shot with a lot of spin. He should hit it a bit more like he did before.

Re: Livescoring Thread 2012 Cheer and Post to Your Hearts Content
It's actually his backhand that's letting him down a little bit in the past two service games. His return game has been pretty amazing though today. I think he'll be fine...

Re: Livescoring Thread 2012 Cheer and Post to Your Hearts Content
He can lose this set and the match as well. It would be a smart move to skip the coming events and go back and learn the basics again. Horrible to watch.
