Yeah, Fed sucked real bad in Wim 09.

He messes about in nearly all practice sessions.

Isner almost beats Nadal at Roland Garros last year and now this. The big match player on clay.

Isner is no mug so this result is not that shocking to be honest. I did not see the match but it sounds like big John played well. Federer is more worried about getting slam number 17. Tough loss for Federer but if this was in a major Federer would probably have won.

otherwise, this is what happens in davis cup, especially when you repeatedly decline the chance to represent... isner had a friend in a davis cup spirit that does not enjoy being disrespected and that spirit has rightfully passed a heavy judgement upon federer here...

Expected result

Isner took Nadull to 5 sets at Roland Garros. Fedmug's best was extending Nadull to 4 sets.

Hope he can build on this and make a big run this year like top 8 which I think he can achieve.

I know Federer is declining but still, it's a very unexpected result. I was alarmed though when I saw Roger on the team bench until the very end of the Wawrinka match It's unusual practice. I guess he didn't anticipate a serious fight from Isner.
