Back on courts. Arno draws Andreev in Miami qualies this one seems to have found a bit of form lately with a final yesterday in Dallas and Arno never one a set against him. Well not easy but it was expected and Miami surface suits more to Andreev. Because of Andreev final yesterday they are scheduled last match. I think i will see the result tomorrow morning and we never know Igor might be tired.

well arno has got one set now, but it's still some way to go cos he's lost the first in a tie-break. (i'm only following the scores)

don't know who'll tire first lol

edit: well well it's 6-7 6-4 6-2 andreev went down quickly in the 3rd.

Finally Igo get tired. Just read the report of the match by Filo and Fat Camel and first set was a disaster Arno had the set many times in his hands but still lost the tie-break then Arno is a great fighter and manage to win in three

Today it's Arno who can be tired mentally by that match and Capdeville loves Miami as all the chilians. The crowd will be against Arno and he will have to do a good match to qualify. Again last match on court 3

He lost to Capdeville in 2006 in the other side of America in Los Angeles in 3 sets!
Pity Arnaud lost this first set, could be much easier to recover.
Hope he qualifies, any good match proves to RG organizers that this guy deserves WC

Already broken but he broke back immediately. It will be tough Let's see if he can fight as yesterday

And now broken when he served for the set at 5-3 and got two set points at 40-30 and Ad. He can't close when he leads He break to close it 7-5. that's tough but he's 3/3 on BP so it's the good point of that first set but already one hour of play. How feel the old body.

Big games at 2-1 in the second set he needed 3 BP than he cruised to close the match 75 61

According stats he doesn't play as good as yesterday he won more points behind second serves Well he felt surely stressed by the opportunity to make the MD. It's his fist Master MD since Bercy 2010

one day he couldn't win a match at challengers, now he's playing a masters tournament

i just hope that nothing is hurting him, then form and confidence can rebuild slowly.

Arno drew Dudi Sela in R1. He plays first up on court six at 3:00 PM EST. Sela retired from his last match in Dallas and has been bothered with a leg injury, so this should be a really good opportunity for Arno to win here, if he isn't tired. Sela plays a lot like Arno, he relies on speed and counter-punching a lot to win. Hopefully Arnaud can get the victory! He's earned this chance after battling through the qualifications

Arno says he still has the Andreev match in the legs and needed to recover so pity he plays today it won't be easy for him. Arno is happy that what he worked past weeks works in competition and takes pleasure.

A video on youtube it's at the begining of the match when he breaks back. I love when Capdeville made a Df and Arno ask for the towel so useless

how do you know all this? just by following tennis? i usually think you're so good with french/european tennis but it seems your knowledge goes much further

actually i had once watched marcelo rios on an outside court in miami, i didn't really think he got that much support lol

because he was standing there for too long? i've known for a long time that his rituals bear no relation to actual needs, thanks for the proof

Yesterday the court was too small for having a huge crowd and that's was only a qualifying match I was too much about this Well for me Miami is a nice place for south american players Gonzo decided to retire there because of this. Miami sounds a bit as a south american place.

About the tournament it seems that it is not as good in terms of training conditions as IW but players find more to do in Miami than in the desert where they can only do Golf
