Re: AO 2012 SF: GOAT R.Nadal def 2ndGOAT R. Federer 6-7(5) 6-2 7-6(5) 6-4
Very tense, but very low quality match. Disturbing how Fed completely fell apart after a blistering start. From 1-0, 2-0 up... and then sort-of faded. Whereas Fed's level went up and down all the time, Raf just became better-and-better, even though he had his moments of bad play as well. Rafa's serving especially was out-of-this-world today, even though his serve stats might just be a bit flattered by Roger's virtually absent ROS - a weakness that has been plagueing him quite a bit in his earlier matches as well.
Rafa deserves tons of credits for his consistent, rock-solid play. The better player won, it's as easy as that.
Now PLEASE take down Djokomuzza on Sunday. PLEASE!

Re: AO 2012 SF: Nadal def Federer 6-7(5) 6-2 7-6(5) 6-4
Those ridiculous, miracle Rafa passes in the 2nd set comepletely turned the match around. That lame sht would have pissed me off, and it definitely pissed Roger off. He should have fought back harder, but his serve wasnt great in the 2nd and 3rd. Roger just couldnt continue his domination in the 1st set, some of his best tennis out of the gates, but it left him.
The youth of Rafa was the X factor. Hopefully his knee gets better.............oh wait

I am a big Federer fan but Nadal's ownage of him makes me believe there is no such thing as GOAT. He is just the most successful grandslams player of all time but I don't know how you can claim to be greatest of all time when you are completely owned by another guy. Folks claiming Nadal is GOAT are full of shit too so I just conclude there is no such thing as GOAT. If Federer was just getting exclusively beaten on clay that's one thing but getting beaten everywhere else is another thing. H2H in slams is positive both on clay and off clay now in Nadal's favor.

Respectable score, tho I can't say I'm pleased about the result, but everybody saw it coming.
Best of luck to Djoker in the semis and hopefully final, he's the world's best player and hope to see him face off vs Nadal (and win the title of course)

They always think you have to win everything, it always needs to be a success story, and if it's not obviously what is the point. Maybe you have to go back and think, Why have I started playing tennis? Because I just like it. It's actually sort of a dream hobby that became somewhat of a job. Some people just don't get that ever."

Re: AO SF: Nadal lets Federer choke once again 6-7(5) 6-2 7-6(5) 6-4
typical federer-nadal match.
federer lost a lot of break points and when he finally break after that nadal break his service......
it`s amazing the luck that nadal has against roger federer , many impossible shots against federer , it`sthe destiny that wants that a player be the achilles`s hell of the best of all.
federer is the goat by archivements , records and tennis but in terms of mental`s force is far of guys like sampras or borg.
nadal for me is the champions of AO , nole for me is not that good like in 2011 and nadal has more rest that nole or murray.

Re: AO 2012 SF: Nadal def Federer 6-7(5) 6-2 7-6(5) 6-4
Rafa had 6/16 BPs and wasted 4 SPs from 6-1 in 3nd set TB( ), if there was a choker on court, that was Nadal

What a lame result (again). At least Nadal set himself up for a new thrashing by the Djoker, every cloud.....

Re: AO 2012 SF: Nadal def Federer 6-7(5) 6-2 7-6(5) 6-4
Maybe all Federer fans should get together and buy him a backhand for his next birthday. Nadal was very beatable today but not for Roger because Nadal has one shot that has never failed him - Federer's backhand. Hopefully, Rafa will empty his pockets carefully in the locker room so that Federer doesn't fall out and hurt himself in his old age. Federer will dominate again after US open.
