You cannot have a GOAT. We all know Federer is technically a far better player than Nadal. We all know Nadal is the best retriever/grinder probably ever. If the surfaces were faster, Nadal would be getting routined by Tsonga, Berdych, Soderling week in week out. As the coutrs are ultra slow, pretty much everywhere now, these guys need to be so consistent with hitting winners to beat guys like Nadal they simply cannot keep the required level up for 3 sets. It's nigh on impossible. Which is why only one guy is stopping Nadal's domination on these ultra slow courts worldwide, a guy who is almost as good at retrieving as Nadal, but is also a better player technically than him. That man is Novak Djokovic. Murray cannot beat Nadal. Not as good at retriving (almost as good) but lacks the firepower.

He wasn't actually that close this time, I didn't expect him to be, & an obviously very nervous Nadal didn't even have to play that well. Getting the odd break doesn't mean shit the way he plays his service games against Nadal. 1st serve MIA for much of the match, Roddick-style net approaches, backhand shanks, missed returns, indecision & UEs on the forehand, losing points with the court gaping open, blowing chances even when Nadal is begging him to take them, it's always the same and always will be (except indoors). Anybody who seriously thought Roger was going to win this - well, I feel for you, I've made that mistake before too. Never again.

Murray is playing well enough to beat Djoker. We have to hope Novak raises his level or Murray chokes, because there's NO WAY Murray will hold it together to beat Nadal in a slam final for his first slam. His mentality against Rafa is nearly as bad as Roger's, if not worse. You have to respect Djoker for being enough of a man to keep his head when Nadal is there for the taking. I hope he does it again.
Great post. I live in hope that Djokovic can destroy Nadal again. I cannot stand Nadal's brand of tennis. At least Djokovic has some real talent. As you say, Murray has no chance in the final against Nadal. So Novak has to come through for me to save us from Nadal winning number 11.

He beated Sodlering,Berdych and Tsonga in fast courts. He will not grow to play defense game in fast era like 90's. Sampras,Ivanisavic cannot play serve and volley in 2012.

Nothing to do with match-ups etc.
Nadull is simply a better slow court player
Than fed.

The match up issue is a factor, but only part of the factor. The slowness of the courts reduce the effectiveness of Federer's strength - his technical ability and aggressiveness, and play to Nadal's strengths, unbelievable grinding/retriveing. If the courts had been faster, that the advantage would swing more to Federer and away from Nadal. Obviously, there is a speed of court where things would be effectively dead even between their various strengths. But there is no court like that in the world at the moment where Grand Slams are played. They all favour Nadal over Federer.

i tried to warn 'em.

the half empty bottle of bud attests to the possibly that the day was a tough one for all

the 20 bottles laying on the room floor were an indication of how hard

the room temperature ruins the taste of a good drink, might as well be water right now

the only thing the bud gives is a hangover and an insane desire to piss half of your bladder- damn shame

its been one of those days- tough, annoying and hard, like half eaten kebab naan gently sunbathing on a table near by

you knew this is how it would be, you knew this was going to be another freak show of errors and mistakes- you knew fucking better and yet you still dared to believe

its like the 2008 elections all over again- you've had enough

you knew the lobbyists had everyone except that crazy texan ron paul in their pockets
you knew that a darker skin tone didn't hide a yellow-belly
you knew obama wasn't going to change a damn thing- didn't even improve things for blacks, what chance did anyone else have

you stayed up tonight like you stayed up that night-
when obama came into power you cried- every tear was meant for someone else, malcom x, dr. king- you could only imagine them in heaven smiling

you stayed up this night-
you watched federer take the first set and get a break in the 2nd- you dared to believe that this wouldn't be like the other times, this time there would be a change.

20 bottles of bud and a cyncial bastard of an attitude does much for a man- it opens your eyes to the apparent bullshit the entire world is- just shit piled on shit

buy shit- vote in shit- drive shit- spend shit- make shit and try to make more shit- and in the end you are manure- so you become shit- thats life for you- but you only recognise when you drink enough to open your eyes

"...... its all just dust blowing in the wind"

thats the mst poetic thing you've ever read, there's so much truth in one single sentence you cannot believe how insightful it actually is- how many people would realise its from the bible

theres no cold beer left, theres no reason to drink anyway

obama triped the nation debt
kept the fires of war raging
unemployment at 10% (1 in 10 americans cant even find a job- insanity- no doubt in poor black areas that percentage is at least tripled)

nadal beat federer in the same cheap way
