i agree, but he didn't have to grind it. just forehand cross courts to rafas backhand. this was the most obvious thing in the match. he needs to learn how to push and wait for errors which is grinding but if i watched the match correctly, it did not take more than three forehands to the rafas backhand before rafa creates an error. his stubbornness is out of this world. then again this is the advantage of a lefty. since we right handed players have an instinct to hit to the ad court because it is usually the opponents backhand.

When nadal broke federer early in the 2nd set, that was the moment when djokovic defended his title.

I think there is something about Rafa's game that makes Federer go all weird, its almost like he is a junior at times.

Fed fans won't like hearing this but Fed can't simply be the outright GOAT, not while he is so mentally weak against his biggest rival. When the going gets tough, he just disappears. He didn't understand how Novak could go for such a ridiculous forehand return in the US open semi... Well Roger, Novak responded to the pressure and adversity well and appears to have clutch genes unlike you.

I just have a bad feeling that Nole will get beat tommorow...My nightmare is for Murray to play the spoiler role and provide an easy final for Rafa...I would love for Murray to win his first slam but I know he will brainfart in the final.
Nadal can't also never be the goat, he loses Djoker "all the time" So the goat is Laver

it would be more interesting if Nadal was born in the same year as Federer. Guess those 16 GS against roddicks/hewitts/safins would be alot less...

We share the same nightmare. I'm going to wake up in a cold sweat tomorrow, I just know it.

Ideal scenario would have been Berdych taking out Fedal, which would have guaranteed a trophy for Nole, Muzza, or Berdych, and I would have been OK with all three. But the idea of Rafa hoisting another AO trophy just makes me feel ill.

What an awful night. First Kvitova, and then Fed.

He would serve many more aces in crunch time and that goes away for entire sets now. He plays too high and low these days but thats expected at his age. It should have been obvious when wimbledon 2007 went 5 sets against a clay courter that he was on his decline.
You and I both know that's bull****. Federer is capable of serving MUCH more aces than in this match. Just look at the semis of the French last year.

Same old same old, Nadal topspin forehand to Federer's backhand and eats up the short reply.

Murray has a chance of a slam if he can somehow get past Nole.

Again, matchup

Even if there is a GOAT that is. But if one insists that there is, Federer has one of the most complete resumés for that.

RAAAAFAAAA!!!!!

Way to Go, Spartan Warrior! Pummeling that Chump one more time...always a pleasure to watch! Rafa, you are simply awesome, outstanding in every respect of the game, and yet still humble while that arrogant loser Muger Frauderer acts like he is some big shot. The reality of Muger's futile quest to win another slam sets in once again for Frauderer and the Fedtards.

18-9 and now Two Years and counting since Frauder won a slam. Now that the REAL season has begun again, we can all go back to realizing that Muger is a pathetic LOSER!!!! No more senseless drivel from those annoying Fedtards pretending Frauderer actually has a chance. Everyone knows that Muger is always going to lose...you can just see it in his pale, sickening face.

Muger made Tennis an international laughingstock about 5 years ago, and Tennis fans were ashamed and furious to see this chump winning titles with weak, bland, tasteless sauce. The weak sauce era is officially dead. Frauderer, you're evil plans to bore the fans to death with robotic, mindless play have officially failed!

Muger Frauderer is finished ! Unfortunately Rafa, you don't get that LOSER in the Final anymore; so no "Wham, Bam, and Thanks for the Slam!" this year.

Frauderer, you ARE an EMBARRASSMENT to the Sport! You simply are a weak willed whining little tyrant. Like when you were griping at the Umpire when in the 4th set....you're true colors come out when Rafa is pummeling your sorry butt, don't they?

You can't pull the PC card, Muger, when you're getting your butt handed to you, now can you? You better get used to it and you'd better resign yourself. You get what you deserve and you ought to find out what it's worth, and you've gotta have a lotta nerve. You just do what pleases you and go on and sign out with every move. You're going to get your place in the scene because all of God's orphans get faced in the dream.

You know, watching Rafa steamroll over a complete loser like you, Muger, for the umpteenth time is like a cheap thrill nowadays. It's like chewing a piece of gum with candy glitter all over it. There is some instant joy, but also apathy cause the flavor crystals melt away too quickly. Similarly, there is apathy when you just KNOW Rafa simply needs to show up to HUMILIATE Muger Frauderer again. Nole 2.0 awaits you Rafa...that is the REAL challenge. Nole 2.0 has arrived in full, he isn't pulling any punches, and he is an opponent worthy of your undivided respect. So don't celebrate the inevitable destruction of Frauderer, get prepared to prove yourself. Beating Muger is meaningless nowadays.

But still, good job, Rafa! Thanks once again for making those borish Fedtards shut up for the umpteenth time.... LOVE IT!!!!

exactly...to me it's not about Fed anymore it's about watching some interesting tennis for a change...

Nole will beat him 3-1 AGAIN...Rafa will choke more AGAIN...Sets will last over an hour AGAIN...The will **** the ball..AGAIN...I'm gonna be dissapointed...AGAIN...I hate AO for eliminating Rebound ACE...
At the end 'the game' LOSES...
