Re: Davis Cup 2012
Yeah I would love that, and Gilles lost 5-7 in the 3rd vs Isner on HC, so a good chance there, but don't forget Gilles bad history in DC and his struggles on clay from time to time.

Forget's justification:

Let's imagine that I also take Richard for this tie. I would have raised doubts in Joe's head, who could have felt competition. I want that everyone knows when he is playing whom. This is much more relaxing.
Forget has come a long way, in 2010 he did not mind calling Richard as a replacement three (!) times. But this comment says it all, the main purpose of the selection is to avoid competition for Tsonga!!

Re: Davis Cup 2012
Richard is injured still this problems with his elbow he can't serve and said to forget he was not able to play 5 set matches. Forget picked Simon who feels better with his back.

Guy is one of the worst Davis Cup captains. He has so many strong players and yet he has no idea how build team camaraderie or build confidence within the individual players. He's always either making ridiculous comments or making jabs at his own players. I really wish they found someone else to be the captain.

Re: Davis Cup 2012
I thought ERV could play the second singles. He is already there with his custom team tracksuit and good attitude. Ryan Harrison is my favorite younger player but 5 sets could still be tricky for him. I don't know about Simon. I don't think he can take another DC loss and nerves can get the better of him on court. Allez les bleus!

Wow... I had not seen this. No wonder Simon and Gasquet are considered as the ugly duckinlgs.
I can already hear Forget blaming a "not so injured" Gasquet if France loses this tie.

Re: Davis Cup 2012
I'm surprised people doesn't trust in Richard injury I mean it's a recurrent one. Then according l'equipe Benneteau could start the friday. It seems that there will not have a big crown this week-end. It's easter WE.
Rain has stopped double training. It could rain this week-end it will be fun

Re: Davis Cup 2012
The Bryans def. Llodra/Bennetau 6-4 6-4 7-6, things looking bad as John looked impressive vs Simon, USA leads 2-1.

Re: Davis Cup 2012
Isner beats Tsonga 6/3 7/6 5/7 6/3 to win the tie for the USA.
Congrats to the USA!
I really thought France would win the DC this year.... but next year I guess.

Re: Davis Cup 2012
I am so disapointed ! What such a bad week-end !
Yesterday it was boring', they never got any break point, and today, a bit the scenario, Jo didn't got any break before the third set. And the giant always saved them with his big serves. Seriously, that's so boring to watch a player like that !
No suspense, no great matchs, sad end.
I'm very sorry for Guy Forget. Just a pity he finished like that.
