The dream team of Lucho/Calleri thumped the number 1 seeds Cernak/Friedl 6-4 6-2 and will now play Chucho/Prieto in the semis.

Lucho you rock  . It's great to see him reaching his first ATP SF for over a year, and playing so well.
I can't cheer for Lucho in his SF as Nalbandian is my favourite player, but hopefully it will be a good contest, and I can't lose whatever the outcome there. |

Nalle was too good for Lucho 7-5 6-1. The first set was quite close, but Nalle served too well and was getting into Lucho's service games much more.
He had one chance to break and wasn't able to do it in the second at 1-0, once Nalbandian held and then broke and he was able to break Lucho's backhand down.
The dream team won again in the doubles they defeated Chucho/Prieto 6-2 6-1 and now play Mertinak/Marach in the final.

Lucho had a good run this week, reaching his first ATP SF for over a year. He should be pleased with he fared in the singles, and it's great to hear that in doubles the dream team have been reached their 2nd final in as many weeks.
Hopefully Lucho can win his 3rd doubles title of the season.

 This is not the result I was hoping for but he can be very proud of his run in Acapulco
Seems his elbow is giving him trouble again and this is a bit worrying 
Let's hope he and Gordo win the doubles title!! |
