hey Lug,
I like Ferrer because of his fighting spirit. for a small guy, he is an overachiever and he always tries so hard. I respect that. My list is a toss up between guys who have great technique (Haas if you wish ), persistence, longevity, movement, court coverage, shot making skills and personality above all .

Reasons:
1. Can be arrogant, but whop cares? He plays brilliant Tennis.
2. People say I play a lot like him, and I love the way he plays
3. He's a gentleman. He is a great player and never causes anything bad.
4. Just a great player. He has made great comebacks, and he deserves respect for that.
5. When he is playing well, it is spectacular to watch.
6. He's just a nice guy who has always been around.
7. Roddick is hilarious. He has a lot of haters, but I think he's really funny and a great player.
8. COME ON! <-- How can you not like that?
9. Great player. Highly respected. He's is very polite, and former No. 1. But he still stays under the radar...
10. He's a great fighter, and I saw him live in Miami and his intensity is very nice!

Sorry, i'm not Sherlock Holmes. But you said "Suck it haters" right after saying players you hate.
So... You're gonna suck it to yourself? That's pretty badass.

Re: 2012 MTF Top 10 Favourite Active Players (6th update in #282)
1. Federer - surely no reason needed
2. Del Potro - that timewasting is annoying, but the way he exploded to the scene during 2009 was captivating
3. Tsonga - completely different and exciting style to bring to the table
4. Hewitt - I've grown to pull for the guy in his older days
5. Davydenko - amazing style, at his best it's such a joy to watch him take the ball early and creating those angles
6. Kohlschreiber - like his opportunistic game, the way he's so often overpowered against the top guys that you have to root for him
7. Rosol - why not?
8. Djokovic - When he's not playing Fed his ability to turn (insane) defense into devastating offense is beautiful
9. Haas - S&V, old guy, automatic respect
10. Ferrer - like the respect he shows to everyone
