Not nice to see Giraldo's total lack of effort in the last set, but he clearly had some health issue to contend with. Didn't look good at all in the last few games.

Almagro's game and good form really exposed Giraldo's limitations moving forward and the general absence of a defensive side to his game. After blowing *4-4 40-0 in the first set, that was it for him.

Santi was robbed at 4-4 Deuce in the first set. Just long (I was there) shot from Almagro doesn't get called out (Auckland linecalling sucks TBH). He was understandably pissed but his attitude the rest of the match was disappointing. No wave to the crowd when he left (even grumpy-ass Ryan Harrison waved to the crowd as he left) .

I hope he comes back next year.
