Mardy's attitude was quite unfortunate, I guess we'll never know what happened as Grigor refused to say what Mardy told him at the net. I think though I red on Grigor's lips on the replay from the mixed-doubles, that Grigor asked Mardy whether he said "fuck off" passing next to the Bulgarians' chairs. But anyway, both matches were great to watch. And Grigor was so great in the interview between the matches

Grigor was amazing today and absolutely destroyed Fish. He played perfect tennis and if he can reproduce that form in the weeks ahead, he's going to be dangerous. As usual, Fish behaved like an idiot.

No one really knows what happened exactly and whether people watched the same post-match interview or not I'm not sure...but basically the commentator asked what Mardy said and Grigor refused to answer and he said something along the lines of "Im not really sure what happened but I am really sorry if I didn't play the way he thinks I should have...I'll say sorry again to Mardy in the locker rooms but I really dont want to go into too much detail"..hope this helps.

We didn't watch the same interview obviously because Dimitrov basically said he doesn't know what was the problem and that IF he did something wrong he would say sorry to Mardy in the locker room. And here is another citation:

I must confess I watched him only 5-6 times during the last couple of years. Is he injured? Maybe if he didn't feel well it may have made him a bit nervous. I doubt that just that loss can cause an outburst. It would be bizarre.. because I saw nothing during the match that can be the source of all this, but I don't know.

Poorly handled by Dimitrov. Fish's wrath is justified.

He should've realised he was playing well above his opponent early enough and turned down the heat to make sure the top tenner didn't have to get embarrassed out there.

On a serious note...definitely regret not getting along to a Hopman match to watch Grigor play.
