Default Brisbane R2: Baghdatis d. Nishikori 6-3 6-4

Good, solid win. Didn't see the match, but his 2nd serve point win seems a bit worrying. Looks like he depends a lot on his serve.
Still a solid win over the overrated Nishikori. Wonder what he can do against a rusty Murray.

I watched the full match. To be honest both players played like shit - too many unforced errors!!! Baghdatis won only because Nishikori's serve didn't give any dividends to Japanese. Without first serve Marcos would lose this match for sure. Cypriot made maybe 2-3 winners on rallies, opponent - 10-12. it's really poor figures. I'm a big fun of Marcos, but without huge improvoment in his game he won't be able to compete with Murray/Muller.

Could be, but still two good wins over two tricky opponents in Harrison and Nishikori.

Playing doubles helps get the rust off. Good job Baggy.

Kei is going to have to put in some hard miles. Hard hard miles.
