I hate it when players not only have to battle their opponents, but also battle the elements! And N.Y. has had enough rain. The U.S. needs its rain in the Midwest right now! The only good thing is sometimes rain will come and knock the temperature down. But then other times it just temporarily knocks the temperature down and then the heat comes back worse than ever! And the starting and stopping of play is awful when the rain comes and goes. I had wanted a cloudy day with the temperature down, but no rain. Actually what I really wanted was a night session! |

Well that was a weird match. Tosses that ended up 2 metres from the server, chairs and racquet bags blowing onto the court, debris constantly interrupting points. Was relieved Murray managed to pull out the tiebreak from 5-2 down...I was pretty tired of watching that sort of tennis by then.

And he got lucky because there's a major storm front coming to New York right now. Stupid organizers should've played both matches simultaneously but no, now we got yet another Monday final.
