Yes, good luck to Fernando in Madrid!  He made the quarterfinals at Vienna and he could get good results in Madrid too! Fingers crossed for Fena to get seeded! |

Gasquet is out too - but I think its top 16 - so a couple more would have to pull out for him to be seeded.

Fernando is ranked 20 this week and therefore he's seeded if at least 4 players higher ranked than him pull out and with Hewitt it’s already the 5th

Fernando will play the doubles with N.Davydenko in Madrid. It will be the first time. Apparently, with Nico, they didn't enter directly in the main draw if I well understood.

Like Val posted their doubles entry ranking was not good enough to get a direct entry into Madrid. They are ranked 16 in the doubles race but this does not count for the entry into a tournament. And because Nico's down in the singles rankings they are unable to get one of the singles entry spots in such a strong field like Madrid. |
