Recovering in the 2nd Set big time! But what is wrong with Juan? He has never truly been the same since that wrist surgery. But that should be O.K. by now. shouldn't it? But he is just not the same player seems tired and out of conditioning, but I would have thought that would have come back by now also

Thankfully he won but I thought the 3rd and 4th sets could have gone either way. He appeared to be having issues with the sun on his toss so that would account for some of the serving issues. And he just does not like the heat- it always makes him lethargic And I don't think acclimatizing to the heat/humidity conditions can occur with everyone. Genetics have to play a role in that as well.

And is it me or does the AO seem even slower this year?

I was having the hardest time watching.

It's slower. Knowing the ATP it's not a surprise. They want Nadal and Djokovic to play final obviously.

Watching his match last night, I think his forehand is terribly bad. It's moonballing, all his forehands are landing short, middle of the court. Too much topspin in it. His forehand from Davis Cup has disappeared. I'm stating to think clay will be his only good surface considering he hasn't done anything on hard courts in a year.

Well he obviously had issues with the sun and he got a time violation warning at the beginning of the 4th set for hiding in the shadow for too much time ╮(╯▽╰)╭. He was quite upset becuz of the sun. But well, he had issues with Mannarino too but he made it through. Coming up Karvic, better luck!
