I find it strangely cathartic and obviously share many of the same tastes with Jonathan Crane and Clash City Rocker. Love that Sebadoh track, Jonathan, and that album along with Bubble and Scrape and Harmacy wonderful as well. Someday, I will re-listen to Sebadoh III, because I like it, but it didn't quite hook me last time I tried.
BTW, I hate Dinosaur Jr., so it was odd to find out how much I liked Lou Barlow. But I love Pavement, and the Smog Lo-Fi I just posted was a tribute to Barlow. I do like Prince though, VERRRY early Prince (First 4 albums before he hit it big).

Cobalt, I haven't been in here long enough to sort out your tastes yet. Sufjan Stevens? I didn't post anything by him, and don't know his music. Could you post something? I did a search and he doesn't seem easily placed into a category...and what I read sounded more like Stereolab (which I did post this weekend) than Neutral Milk Hotel.
