Rome was the most unimportant tournament in Fed's quest for No.1. SF is a good result there.

No. In order to be number 1 he has to prove that he can beat both Nole and Rafa in the same tournament. He was lucky they went oout early in Madrid. It won't happen again.

WTF 2010 was easy, Federer could easily beat them back to back in Cincinatti aswell or in Paris.

Usopen/Wimbledon is more of a stretch for the imagination, but still possible. Federer wont beat Djokovic/Nadal back to back on clay obviously.

Nole Spam, I said stop polluting the thread with your presence. It's not RF's fault that when he's at his best the supposed better players than him cannot get to a match against him. Go back to your Nole garage and enjoy your man's win.

He will, where it really matters, don't worry

To be honest, I think he'll make a BRIEF appearance at No. 1. Unlike his fans who emphatically (and desperately) try to argue that Fed sucks or something, he's pretty much on another level when compared with the rest of the tour (not including Djokovic, of course). If Djokovic trips up, Fed will be there to steal the thunder (this isn't a slight against Federer....it's the truth; Fed is known for consistency).

Nadal's issues are glaring outside of clay and Murray is a non-factor 80% of the time. All Fed needs is a small hole and it's his.

I don't, however, think Fed has much time left to have another go at the top ranking. I think that at a maximum, he has this year and next year left. If not by the end of 2013 then I think that he will have lost his opportunity.

I can tell you where to rub but I won't. And it doesn't. If you check my comments (before and after the match) I said I was hoping for a Nole win as he deserves to defend a title once in a while.

This was probably the most relaxed I've been in following a Federer loss, believe it or not. I don't hate Novak as you hate Rogie. If you were a bit more reasonable maybe we could actually discuss something instead of you trying to flaunt your boy's loss like a 2-year-old. I told you to leave this thread alone as I just don't like you coming here and spamming it with unrelated BS.

Realistically, I wish for Roger to get his spell at No.1 (hopefully coupled with a slam) this year and then he can go on focussing on the rest of his life and combining it with tennis.

By that I mean focusing on the slams exclusively and using the Masters series tournaments as a warm up as well as playing some "new" tournaments. Hopefully he can also fill some resume gaps such as Rome at some point.

As long as he keeps himself in the top 4, he can challenge for slams. Especially if some players emerge who start beating RN and ND on a more solid basis.

Sure, because you're such a sound and unbiased poster.
Nole deserves to defend a title once in a while? What are AO and Miami then?

I'm not flaunting anything, just taking the bandage off your eyes.

I actually like Fed, believe it or not. Or at least I did. I'm not sure anymore. Maybe that's what MTF does to you. It exacerbates your likes and dislikes. But I'm not a hater like others. People only take on the negative. I have said many positive things about Federer in the past that were repeatedly overlooked.

I am willing to be very unbiased (or at least try) when I deem the other side capable of the same. You have not shown this to me. Your statement that you say many good things about Roger is completely untrue as you always accompany it with a jab of some kind, female style. I don't complain as you're not a fan but don't try to clam you're unbiased. I've started to like Djokovic more recently oustide some stupidities he's done. My dislike is for tards and the only reason I can't stand him is because of reactions like the one after the win today. So there you go.

if he sincerely embraces humbleness he has a chance, otherwise no. karma will prevent him from reaching #1 again.
