If he wins the AO, he might. But who knows... one year ago Nadal was going for the 4th slam in a row and was undisputed number one, things can change so quickly in Tennis, part of this great sport's beauty actually...

I believe he will.

's right. We have to also throw into the mix. But I do not think it is currently the decisive factor. But he has achieved in my opinion too much. Maybe this is crucial if I move him even closer after major victories. But 14 or 17 Grand Slam titles is a significant difference. At the present time there is no question that he must be the greater player than me.

I wouldn't bet my house on it.
Fed blew his massive chances to do so back a couple of years ago, when all he had to do is just win ONE match at Monte Carlo, but yet decided not to play over there, and subsequently suffered all kinds of silly losses in the following tournaments.

All stars will have to align for him coming 2012, perhaps they will, perhaps they won't - but I think it's not all too ridiculous that he may still have one last chance to go. Like I said before - not counting on that to happen.

He won't. This is one record he won't be able to get anymore, especially after what we saw in the U.S. Open, running out of gas in those two sets. It's going to be ridiculously tough unless Djokovic/Nadal under so some injuries and withdrawals from the slams.

Very difficult. He needs Djokovic AND Nadal to falter.

Federer did not ran out of gas , just a mental break down .
He had 2 match points on his own serve and Djokovic went for broke and got lucky .
Repeat that scenario 9 more times and Federer wins them all .

if he had ran out of gas he would been blown out on that last set like Delpo in 2009

Even if he would've gotten a 5000 points headstart from the indoor season, he still wouldn't be nr.1 since Novak/Nadal will split all the events that matter again in 2012. The old man should be very grateful he had that last big win at this years WTF, because the time of slams and the #1 ranking are long gone for him.

And it would be a joke if he would become the male Wozniacki because he played those MM indoor tourneys of Basel/Paris.

Last time I checked, Federer has 16 GS titles on his tally. Wozniakci has ZERO.

You used to be a rather good poster, but the past couple of weeks, all I see from you is very bad trolling.
