Re: Canadian Juniors
Never mind that, I just found the article. It said something about planning to play the AO but that it was coming up pretty quick. So it probably is because it's a bit early to rush her back into playing.
And the coach didn't coach Bouchard, that coach went back to his home country since Abanda was injured

Re: Canadian Juniors
Peliwo is having a good start to the year - into the semis of the AO tune-up event: http://tournaments.tennis.com.au/spo...2B0C02F&draw=1
I hope he doesn't run out of juice when he gets to the AO.

Re: Canadian Juniors
There's a very small difference in the top junior rankings right now. If Peliwo loses in this final, he'll move up to around 16, but if he wins the tournament then he'll move up to around number 8. It's a shame these rankings won't influence the AO draw.

Re: Canadian Juniors
Peliwo wins over Saville: 3-6, 7-6, 6-4
Very nice result from him, taking out the #1 junior. Impressive, heading into the junior AO, definitely seems like he should be a contender.

Re: Canadian Juniors
Really terrific result for him! Apart from anything else, it shows he believes in himself.

Re: Canadian Juniors
Impressive. Also, highest ranked male since Bester? or Dancevic?

Re: Canadian Juniors
Bester junior career high = 8
Dancevic = 20
Peliwo is on a roll; semis in Orange Bowl just recently.

Oh right, no combined when Frank was a junior. He was #1 junior doubles player.

Re: Canadian Juniors
How tall is Filip, he looks very short in his trophy picture.

Re: Canadian Juniors
playing ken onishi of japan in round 1
dropped the first set 3-6, stormed through the 2nd set 6-1
got down a break early but broke back in the 3rd right away. He won a marathon game that went to deuce like 8 times to hold for 2-2 then broke and held again. Onishi broke back for 4-4 but filip broke again and will serve for it.

I believe Filip beat Thiago before so I don't think it's a huge break. Thiago has also been struggling lately - lost early in the warm up tourny.
