Default London RR: Lindstedt/Tecau def. Indian Express 7-6(6), 6-1

First set had plenty of drama and took almost an hour. Some big mistakes form both teams and Tecau even managed to DF on a sudden death deuce point. Otherwise they might have taken the first 6-4.

In the tiebreak Bhupathi and Paes had 6-4 and 2 set points. Tecau saved the first with a good smash and Lindstedt the other with a ballsy lob.

2nd set there wasn't much resistance. Lindstedt/Tecau now got an excellent chance to reach the semis. Would be a very solid effort for their first WTF appearance. But hey they might go on a roll and win the whole thing!

Well, they still have Melzer/Petzschner, their nemesis, and the Bryans, obviously number 1 team, left so I would call the chance good (of course it can't get excellent as winning in straight sets is the best thing you can do) but not excellent.

yeah true but this was a key match. Winning the first match 2-0 and they will probably have it in their own hands. Watching Melzer/Petzschners vs the Bryans right now and its a close one. The doubles tournament in London has started great. So much drama and close matches. Amazing.

Really most of the times I watch them play, Tecau isn't good at all. Today he looked like by far the worst player on court again, like in the Wimbledon final 2010. M/P were not bad, but nothing special. Now the Bryan's can keep M/P in the tournament.

Agree with you. Match against M&P was 1 break in each set and both times it was Tecau that was broken after looking nervy. He obviously got skills and a wicked serve but when he gets nervous he can't get a good serve in to save his life. Was the same in the wimbledon final yes. It's horrible because doubles is all about momentum. Gift a break and the other team can play relaxed and the set will just slip away.

Kinda funny that it was the Indian Express that went through in the end. That's how you bounce back after a loss.
