Re: 2012 Schedule and Ranking
It's rare to see a french player player all the south american season. He will be trained for RG I'm found his schedule quite tough for a father so i assume Carine and his boy will travel with him

Re: 2012 Schedule and Ranking
I was just looking at the race for the Olympics rankings and thought it was interesting that Gilles is currently at 14th, and is the third ranked Frenchman. Indian Wells helped distance himself even further from Benneteau and Gasquet who are now around 600-700 points behind him. Thank goodness those Hamburg points are after the cut-off because otherwise it would be really tight for that fourth spot. As it stands right now, Benneteau, not Gasquet, would get the 4th spot, although I would expect that to change by the time the claycourt season is over.

Re: 2012 Schedule and Ranking
His start of 2012 so far is actually not too far off from 2011, although it doesn't really feel that way at all. He accumulated 450 pts from Jan up to IW 2011, and 425 from same number of tournaments in 2012. He totally sucked in Feb of both years, very consistent in that time frame . IW was a much needed boost of points and spirit.

Re: 2012 Schedule and Ranking
I hope Gilles won't play if he just had a MRI, he needs rest right now for his back.
It sounds like Gasquet will likely be called up anyway but I want Gilles mentally and physically fit for the clay court season. I worry if he's called up that only bad things can happen for him mentally and physically.

Re: 2012 Schedule and Ranking
Finally Gilles is Forget pick: http://www.lequipe.fr/Tennis/Actuali...monfils/274589, I don't like it much, I just hope he is fit if not it's a stupid thing to do.

Ok. Whatever, with Gilles' bad record on clay just a month ago and with his current back problem still lingering, and Forget still pick Gilles over Richard, I must say, I give up on Forget, completely.

Re: 2012 Schedule and Ranking
lol. I'm sure both fan base felt that DC has ruined their player, so who would want them to go into the fire again. It's too bad that Gilles is still a sucker for DC, or that he can't refuse bcos of fearing of losing his Olympics spot. Either that or he's too stupid to not trying harder to rest his back, which seems to bother him every other tournament if not more often.
