Didn't look good because he struggled in every service game and had no chances on Fish's serve. Hopefully he can serve better today and take any chances he gets.

He did! I couldn't watch the whole match, but from what I saw... The rest was really good for him.
Winning that Tiebreak was a great motivation.

That was a great tiebreak. Only one point against serve. I was worried because Fish had been serving great and returning great going into the tiebreak but Tsonga served I think 3 or 4 aces to get him the set. |

Welll done Jo, he's made QF or better in Wmbledon since 2010. Kohli will be tough, but he defeated him in his worst surface ( MC), so I expect him to win in 4 sets, but if he has an off day and Kohli plays well he could perfectly lose. Allez Jo

After a disappointing A.O, very good showings at RG and Wimbledon, pushing Top-4 to the limit. Shame that break point he had at 4-4 in the 4th set  . He is still lcking the big win that would give him loads of confidence. His best win this year, was ironically, on clay vs Del Potro. Apart from that, he hasn't beated a Top-10 all year  , 1-6 record vs them.

At the beginning of Wimbledon I had a dream - see Federer and Tsonga at the final.
What a pitty Tsonga yesterday couldn't win. I agree with @TheShowMustGoOn - the OHB cross passing shot was the best shot in the whole tournament. I've seen and loved his OBH down the line passing shots but this is very difficult for a 2BH player.
He deserved the final after what happened in RG. |
