Indoor tennis is a really nice variation to outdoors.
I'm fond of the low bounce, court speed, exterior-free conditions, which helps attacking players to go for a shot instead of keeping the ball 2 meters from the line, promotes guys who take a huge risk.

Nevertheless, indoors turned into an infinite rally just like outdoor tennis on any surface and I expect to see the US Open continuation during WTF.

The ironic thing is, all these tards who support the homogenisation are diminishing Rafa's achievements. By supporting such actions, supports the argument that if they were all kept at varying speeds and bounces Rafa would never have won on them for they would be too quick.

Serve is still THE most important shot in tennis today, just not AS dominant and that is a good thing. Lesser reliance on serve forces the players of today to be more athletic, more fit and to develop the technique of groundstrokes. The entertainment value of tennis has gone up significantly. People longing for acefests have forgotten how boring such matches were. One break, one mini-break and you could lose a set. It wasn't fun, didn't have any drama or suspense.
Agassi won Wimbledon in 92 and 'big servers' Rafter, Courier, Becker, Pioline all got to finals. Some baseline hitters actually did pretty well. Pete was just too good.

As for the public was getting bored, not this public here. Ivanisevic-Rafter is still the most loved final in a poll by the BBC and 2001 the favourite recent tournament.

As for that, take the last line out. It's all about athleticism and fitness now. Ball striking ability matters little. Look at the Nadal-Nalbandian match in the once fast US Open a couple months back- Nalby painted the corners over and over and over and over and yet the ball somehow was still coming back on a tournament that was once fast. That's how homogenization has destroyed the game.

I don't like indoor tennis very much. Some of you like it only because your favorite does well on it. You won't admit it. like Soderling fans. You try to make it sound like its the beauty game of it or whatever you say.

me complaining about indoor season. Is it any different than you Nadal haters complaining about clay season all the time?

Why bother to start a poll if you're going to denigrate (to date) 81 people's choices. That suggests that a meagre 10 people's choices have validity, while over 80 people's don't. Only in your Alpha Centauri universe (TM credit to Sunset of Age)

Everko and his projections God forbid admitting HE hates indoors because Nadal does too. Far more reasonable to assume over 80 percent of the polled lack rational capacity rather than him.

Clay season has always been there. Unfortunately for you (and only you) so has the indoor season.

The main reason complain about clay season is because it's so damn long

Main tour events on clay in February and September? No thanks. Ferrer is one of my favourite players and he has done well on the SA clay but it's still idiotic to have a clay season right before two hard court Masters.

Except that it isn't, that's how grass court season should be too.

Hard courts are a joke and dominate the tour and nobody complains about them.

Claycourts are everywhere. They are before Indian Wells/Miami (which makes no sense) and they are after Wimbledon too which also makes absolutely no sense. The season goes hardcourt>>>clay/hardcourt>>Indian Wells/Miami>>>clay>>>grass>>clay/hardcourt>>>hardcourt>>indoors. Clay is in 2 places where it shouldn't be. It shouldn't be before Indian Wells and it shouldn't be after Wimbledon. The space between Miami and Queen's Club is specifically for clay. Nowhere else wants clay.

And hardcourt tennis is at least enjoyable all the time. Clay gets boring after 2 tournaments

If Mugray wasn't such a clay clown, you'd be speaking differently.

Hardly. Clay is boring. It can be exciting with the right players. Murray made the Djokovic and Nadal matches this year great because he was great. Without him, they would've been generic clay matches. Boring. Even if Andy won RG and was more succesful on the surface, clay would still be boring in my eyes. In fact, the only players I like consistently watching on clay are Ferrer, Murray and Federer. Montanes too, but I don't get to watch him that much. That's why the clay season is so boring. Only a few players are good to watch on the surface and the surface in general really brings down the level of play.

Clay = boring.

Clay isn't boring at all, tennis is all about variety, just so happens there are more slow courts than fast courts.
