Re: Your Expectations for Andy Roddick in 2012?
He is a good enough player to have a Jim Courier like career. But Federer just took out the wind off him.
Much Like Sampras took off Courier.
As like many of his fans,i hope he leaves out with flourish, If Djokovic or Murray cant win Wimbeldon i would hope that Roddick wins it.

Re: Your Expectations for Andy Roddick in 2012?
Federer had nothing to do with Rodmug not winning more slams. In fact Fedmug practically offered Wimbledon on a silver platter to Duck, who still refused to take it.

Re: Your Expectations for Andy Roddick in 2012?
You're right in that in the so called Rodmug form from 2009 US Open-present, Fed was not the reason he didn't win more slams.
When Roddick was in top form 2003-2009Wimbledon. Fed was the reason he didn't win more slams

Re: Your Expectations for Andy Roddick in 2012?
What I like about Roddick are his funny interviews, except the last one when he left the conference room after being asked a very sensitive retirement question. I don't expect anything for him next year. I'm afraid he is done.

Re: Your Expectations for Andy Roddick in 2012?
Individual match ups would have an effect in a non team sport like tennis. Imagine Roddick coming up with full force and he just cant get the better of Federer. It would definitely knock off his confidence and then he carries that onto the other matches. Its a chain reaction of sort. Just like wining tournament after tournament, the player feels invincible, losing matches after matches to a same player wud create a negative cycle. In a team sport others are there to pick you up when you are down but you are there alone in tennis, nobody is going to do for you but yourself. Some can cope with it, usually the top players like Agassi for instance, you could never guess that he feels defeated against Sampras irrespective of his H2H, but some cannot.

Re: Your Expectations for Andy Roddick in 2012?
Well what do people expect. His current ranking is accurate of his current level. He's been around nearly as long as Federer. Still you don't see people calling him Olddick. Doesn't sound right does it

Re: Your Expectations for Andy Roddick in 2012?
Until a younger american can win a slam. He has to stick around. He's the only one with a slam now. So if he's not in GS winning form, it'll be up to Fish, Isner, Bogo, or Young to get to that form before Andy retires

Re: Your Expectations for Andy Roddick in 2012?
I'm thinking
Aussie Open: 3rd Round
French Open: 2nd Round
Wimbledon: Quarterfinals
U.S. Open: 4th Round
Indian Wells: 4th Round
Miami: 3rd Round
Monte-Carlo: 1st Round
Madrid: 2nd Round
Rome: 1st Round
Montreal: Quarterfinals
Cincinnati: Quarterfinals
Shanghai: 3rd Round
Paris: Quarterfinals
He'll probably win some shit 250 tournament.
I see him sticking around for another 3 years. He's gonna try to stick around as long as possible. Maybe he'll pull off one more top 5 upset in his career.
Gonna miss those tantrums

Re: Your Expectations for Andy Roddick in 2012?
It all depends on his draw. If he gets a clown like Ferrer, he might reach another QF. But if he gets a good quality player, they'll take him out. It depends on who gets. Though I remember, he lost to Lu once, at Wimbledon, that was just abysmal.
My spontaneous prediction: 3rd round Australia, 2nd round Roland Garros, 3rd round Wimbledon, 4th round U.S. Open
