We know why Amelie was attended to the training sessions of Mika at Queen's She helps him a bit like a coach assistant especially on grass where Mika has big goals. He has already a good draw in Queen's and two sets winners are more easy for him than the 3 sets winner. The fact is never go through the second round in Wim is indeed quite funny but for Wimbledon maybe we have to wait his draw while he can do a big thing here in London or Eastbourn next week.

Funny is not the word I'd use for Mika in wimby. That's just frustrating he can't reach at least the quarter with his game. He's never lucky with the draw, and when the draw is ok, he's injured.
Like so many french players, he's not regular, not always serious (even if he improved) and his talent wasted.

he's in semi in eastbourn against Dolgopolov. Dolgo on grass is not a tough opponent i think he had a lovely draw to reach the semi. « DEUX JOURS après votre titre à Eastbourne, vous enchaînez. La manière vous a-t-elle plu ?

– J’ai perdu un set parce que je me suis un peu énervé mais, sinon, c’était solide. J’ai peut-être un peu moins bien servi que la semaine dernière au niveau des aces, mais je bougeais très bien, j’ai bien volleyé et bien retourné.

– Maintenant, place à Roddick…

– C’est un match dur contre un mec qui fait partie des prétendants au titre ici. Il est ultra favori. Mais je ne suis pas sûr qu’il soit très content de me rencontrer et je veux prendre ça comme un atout. De toute façon, quand on a des objectifs élevés, il faut gagner des gros matches. J’aurais préféré jouer une tête de série moins forte mais, en même temps, je suis en forme et en confiance, à moi d’en profiter. À Winston-Salem (en 2008, en Coupe Davis, défaite 6-4, 7-6, 7-6), j’avais fait un bon match sans surjouer. Lui m’avait impressionné en retour et en passing. Mais sur gazon, avec mon service, je peux l’embêter en variant un maximum.

– Qu’entendez-vous par « objectifs élevés » ?

– Ce n’est pas de battre un grand joueur en Grand Chelem, mais d’aller loin. J’ai déjà gagné cinq titres, ce qui est pas mal pour un Français. Maintenant, je vise un gros coup en Grand Chelem.
