Thanks Marine! The trophy ceremony was hilarious as Llodra was trying to keep his kids under control Wonderful run for Llodra here, congrats.

It's interesting he's playing with Mark Knowles in Valencia

According his post match interview he will work with Laurent Raymond in the FFT next year. This year Raymond was training Recouderc in a group of players where there were Ouanna and others guys. Potier was also trainer in that group. The groups in the FFt will surely move .http://www.lequipe.fr/Tennis/breves2...-1er-tour.html

He also decided to play doubles with Andy Ram next year. For DC it's a quite strange choice but with Ram the result will be more regular and more sucessful some title surely and Ram will follow him more easily as he doesn't play single. He could still play with Bennet and Jo on tournament.

Otherwise in december he will play the Tampon tournament in Reunion Island every year a top french player play there.

Default Re: Michael Llodra

An exclusivity, an interview from the 26.12.2009:
http://www.lequipe.fr/Tennis/2009121...nd-chelem.html

Quote:

Default Re: Michael Llodra

He says he will never get completely rid of the groin injury that hampered him this year, he will always have to play through the pain from time to time, but he's very careful now.
Then a few things about the collaboration with his new coach, it doesn't change much for him.
He didn't stop after Bercy because he had been injured during a long part of the season. While everybody was tired and fed up, he was feeling fresh and eager to play and that's why he kept playing (the Interclubs, the Masters France...)
But he has to be careful because the next season will be tough since he is going to play both in singles and doubles.
It was a really tough decision to split with Arnaud and to play with Ram, he felt physically sick at the prospect of telling Arnaud about it. But they often didn't make the cut anymore with Arnaud, hence this choice. And Ram is a great friend of him too (they reached the Wimbledon juniors final together).
He thinks that playing doubles is good for his game and for his state of mind. He isn't a hardworker, he isn't too fond of training, he loves the game.
He has no special goals for 2010. He doesn't care much about his ranking anymore. His main goal is to play well in the French events.
And he would like to have a great run in a Slam at least once in his career, something like a SF. He now feels mature enough to do it. Wimbledon looks like his best chance, but on the other hand, he has never won 2 matches there. He's always been injured or has had tough draws. He might skip 1-2 tournaments in order to arrive in great shape in Wimbledon.

Winner of 2010 Open 13.

4th title in 8th final good stats for him. For a guy who has never catch the top 30 he has many titles under his belt. When he plays like that he's really tough to play for his opponents i mean players outside the top 20.

good job
I think Jo and Mika should just play a match in Marseille and who ever wins can get on a plane and play the R2 match in Dubai. Saves a lot of carbon footprint, as well.
