Yes he is playing very well. Beat Balleret easily in Genova Challenger yesterday. He is climbing the rankings at a fast rate.

Re: Alessandro Giannessi: special from La Spezia
Next week he will be ranked into Top 200. That's an amazing result considered where she was ranked last year
He lost easily to Viola in USO Qualies, but if he goes on this way... he's on his way to enter Top 150.

Re: Alessandro Giannessi: special from La Spezia
He is in another QF of a challenger in Szczecin. Beat Brown and Donskoy, 2 very tough wins and next is Munoz De La Nava.

Re: Alessandro Giannessi: special from La Spezia
After making the QF in Bucharest after qualifying, Alessandro made the finals of Napoli the week after, defeating Ungur in the SF before losing to Mayer. In November, he made the SF of Montevideo and he finished 2011 ranked #135 in the world, with a 59-28 overall record.
Alessandro has a 5-6 record thus far in 2012, with his best results being qualifying in Acapulco beating Souza in the final round before losing to Starace. Been a little bit of a slow start but in his last event in Marrakech he gave Mathieu a very competitive match, showing the potential he does have as a player.
This upcoming week Alessandro is playing in Barletta, and faces Brown in R1. GL to Alessandro and hopefully he can start breaking out this season with a big run in Barletta!

Re: Alessandro Giannessi: special from La Spezia
Qualified to monte Carlo defeating Stakhovsky but lost to Filo in R1. Still, well done to qualifying.

Re: Alessandro Giannessi: special from La Spezia
Can't win any matches ATM. Would like to see him play some of these Italian 15k futures to get some confidence back but it seems like he will stick to challengers.
