Re: 2011 hard court swing
i suppose he is playing like vs del potro in montreal. that kind of marin is top 5 player. but he plays just 2 matches in a year in that fashion.
problem is, he can drop down in his game and tomic can rise.

Re: 2011 hard court swing
Just because Marin has been inconsistent for the last year doesn't mean he can't catch form and keep it up, specially when he matures some more. I for one believe real Marin is that one from USO 2009 and AO 2010 and not the one that was here lately.
Don't forget that for example he won many 5 set matches for a young player so he isn't a mental "midget" as they say. With him it's more of an confidence issue, if everything is clicking better watch out.
Anyway, so far today has been brutal, easy top 10 style.

Actually, you did. We were jsut laughing at your fanboying Tomic now. You're the one who started with personal attacks. Besides, I was not ordering you around, just suggesting, given your feelings about Marin and to an extent the content of your posts. If you're going to stick around, you'll have to take the response on the chin, like a man.

Re: 2011 hard court swing
Three games for Tomic, he really blasted Marin off the court
Good boy Now, go for the big scalp

Re: 2011 hard court swing
If nothing, i hope he gives a good fight in the next match. He's already gained 45 points and definitely some confidence for the upcoming Davis cup and tournaments.
P.S.:
UE: 16
Winners: 34
8 aces
BP won 8/12
BP saved 5/5

Re: 2011 hard court swing
i'm just happy that his effort level was so high all match long. he never gave up on a ball and was really ready to deal with tomic's junkballs. hopefully he goes and hits a few more balls today

Re: 2011 hard court swing
good thing is that he is in good form from hamburg or umag. his biggest problem is that he hasn't full-time coach. he should have full-time coach, psychiatrist and coach for body condition from his 18. in that case he would achieve more to today. pity he is afraid of big wins. he can't beat federer.
