Unfortunately he lost in three sets to Burquier, big chance wasted but oh well...
Next up is Binghamton, where he plays Bobby Reynolds in the first round.

Lost in the quarterfinals to the eventual champion, DGT, in Sevilla. Now he's playing the Szczecin challenger.

deuce at 3-3
he's only serving 43% in this set but actually earning most of his points off the 2nd serve

Saw him at USO. He's a good player and should make top 100 soon. With the state of Russian tennis today, it's safe to say he's their best hope.

Evgeny finished 2011 ranked #144 after finishing 2010 #259th, an improvement of 114 places. He qualified and made the finals of the Casablanca challenger and qualified and made the finals of Braunschweig in late June, he also won a futures event in Spain and made the finals of Kosice in early June.
This season so far Evgeny is 11-6 in challengers, winning Meknes during the Moroccan challenger tour over Ungur in the final, as well as making the SF of Quimper in early February. He's having a nice season and is continuing to develop into a consistent force at the challenger level, as well as one of Russia brightest hopes for the future. His next scheduled event is Casablanca qualifying next weekend. Hopefully he can make the MD and have a breakthrough ATP event in North Africa!
