Current Laver would do better than that.

People are overrating Laver a lot ....Tennis was a different sport that it was 40 years ago....Only baseball never changes.....Federer right now would triple baggel Laver

Oh, missed Mo.

I presume people would be calling Bill lot worse names than mug...not to say the trouble Big Bill would get to if there was internet in his day. Just imagine Tilden during this era with his scandals!

Tilden was an all time great, a legend of the game in the 20's and 30's, but his post career scandals

Tilden really needs his own thread. I heard rumours that the USTA decided years ago that the ball kids have to be adults because they feared a comeback from Bill?

Tilden was such a disgrace to the sport. Thank God he played in the 20's and 30's. If we have to have one of those, it's better to have them during the black and white era. Nowadays he would hurt the sport so bad. Just imagine Bill Tilden getting caught by Chris Hansen in "To catch a predator". By the way I seem to remember some indian guy called tennisboy getting caught on that show.

Then again maybe Bill was the ultimate womanizer who was just accused without any real proof.

Yes, we got your opinion the first five times. Repeating it ad nausem won't make you seem any less ridiculous. It is obvious you are aware playing with small wooden racquets actually required more skill. OTOH, if you make him play with a wooden racquet at his current age, you might have a point.

There are medications out there for this condition. Be sure to take them with food and plenty of water.

Renshaw overrated? What kind of a clown are you? Some kind of a fucked up clown is the answer.

Renshaw was only a pioneer mug. He only won multiple Wimbledon titles because his brother tanked and Lawford was a choker.

The Dohertys. That's a whole different thing.

Just realized how horrible it would be if Tilden played with Pete Fischer as his coach. Tennis would be dead in 12 months.
