Re: Pierre Ludovic Duclos
I second that, he has accomplished enough in the last few weeks.
I guess next would be Steven Diez.

Re: Pierre Ludovic Duclos
So far, PLD has been on fire reaching his first final so far at Jalisco Open in Mexico as a lucky loser. Add to that, his quarterfinal showing in Saratosa earlier in the season. He reached the 2nd round in his most recent event as a special exempt and has won 6 of his past 8 matches so far. His recent form has propelled up the ranks and is looking to improve on his ranking and hopefully he can make the top 300 by summer's end. I'd like to see him qualify for the US Open.

Re: Pierre Ludovic Duclos
PLD qualify for the US Open? Are you serious?
I know you are canadian and want Canadians to do well but lets be realistic here, PLD is never gonna qualify for the US Open this year, it just ain't gonna happen. He won't likely make it into the qualies, let alone qualify. I'm starting to write you off as a nationalistic troll, first thinking we should fill the Rogers Cup draw with Canadians(as if we'd be allowed to do that ) just so we'd win it, and now PLD qualifying for the US Open

Re: Pierre Ludovic Duclos
Easy win for tommyg6's cousin in the first round of Newport qualifying. 6-2 6-2.

Re: Pierre Ludovic Duclos
I hope PLD makes the main draw in Montreal. He should make the semis in Granby.

Hopefully, but tight to say that before we see the draw.

Re: Pierre Ludovic Duclos
Duclos is skipping Granby next week to play a challenger in California. This could impact his chances of getting a WC at the Rogers Cup. Tennis Canada seems to favor players that play Davis Cup and play tournaments in Canada (besides the Cup). We'll see...

Re: Pierre Ludovic Duclos
I sometimes get the impression that PLD does whatever he can to make sure he won't be in Tennis Canada's good books.

Re: Pierre Ludovic Duclos
Maybe he feels like he was shafted as a Junior, and now is repaying the favour?

Re: Pierre Ludovic Duclos
Duclos is in the main draw of Aptos Challenger. He plays his first round match against no.6 seed Carsten Ball of Australia. He basically entered a pretty good field for a chalenger event. I imagine PLD pull out a 3 set against Ball.

Re: Pierre Ludovic Duclos
Don't really understand his need to go to Aptos over Granby, but since when does PLD ever make anything that sounds logical?
