I can't believe you haven't caught up, it's been over many news sites...

In essence, a routine e-mail update from TA this morning referred to the Newport tournament this week (which Tomic is playing over DC) as the "ATP Hall of Shame Championships".

TA have explained this as a clerical error by a staff member who confused Astra Sharma's victory in the Sharm El Sheikh Futures event with Newport when preparing the e-mail. Which is probably true, because the alternative is truly too amateurish to contemplate, even for them!

Hmm, not sure anyone finds the 'clerical error' explanation at all plausible. Kindest explanation is that it was an internal joke someone deliberately put in and either 'forgot' to take out/expected it to be picked up before it went online. Most likely explanation: they really are that low.

Either way, someone should be sacked.
