I don't know about Wimbledon's speed this year, but I'm afraid it will be slower than Halle. Let's hope not.

Just like everywhere else this will be a learning experience this year. He wasn't going to win Wimbledon so...

Possibly getting a third round match on centre court the first weekend against Rafa would be fantastic Of course, its not a done deal he gets there.

Yeah, tough draw for Milos, Fognini is pretty much the highest ranked guy he could have played R1, even though he shouldn't be a huge threat on grass, Muller will be a tough challenge, and of course Rafa should mean R3 is his limit.

Hopefully by the USO he is out of this 25-32 section, getting the top seeds in R3 really sucks

Tricky getting Nadal in round 3, but if he could ever beat him....

he's not ready yet so its no use imagining him doing it, although i know how much everyone here would love it. There's just certain guys he isn't ready to beat yet and nadal is definitely one of them

and you shouldn't even look past muller/haas. He's got one of the most difficult 2nd rounds possible

i dont know..hard is his best surface and he couldnt take a set off nadal there

i would predict a tight 3 setter for nadal, something like 6-4, 7-6, 6-4

again, thats if he gets past muller/haas

Lets get there first, shall we

Milos played well against Rafa. So did John Isner at the French Open. Anything's possible.

As misty says though, Milos for the forseeable future is a hardcourt player. This clay-grass stretch of the ATP calendar was always going to be a learning experience. Should he lose Fognini or Muller, I wont be too upset.

Hard draw for Milos, Fognini in R1 isn't an easy opponent, he's in the best moment of his career and if Milos doesn't play well the italian could upset him without problems. If he past Fognini I think he will play Gilles Muller, and if both players are serving well (and if there is a 5th set) prepare for the second part of the movie Isner and Mahut started last year :P. Third round would be the end, if he serves well and doesn't make a lot of errors I think he could give fight to Nadal, maybe take a set, but not more than that.

I can see him playing Nadal in the 3rd. Just because he lost to Petzschner, he is still dangerous on grass. Petzschner's an excellent mover on the surface. He definetely can trouble Nadal, of course no chance for a win but a big chance for an enjoyable clash.

yeah, muller and milos could be a very long affair, if they are both serving well its going to be very hard for either one to break and it would just come down to who breaks down first.

Milo's match is tomorrow (Monday) at 7:00 am EST on Court 14. I hope TSN shows it, but who knows...

Default Re: Milos' first Wimbledon cheering thread

its up to the mcenroes and company who they chose to watch

looking at the matches going on at the same time we've got:

venus williams v.s akgul amanmuradova
katie o'brien v.s kimiko date-krumm
feliciano lopez v.s michael berrer
pablo andujar v.s ryan sweeting
grega zemjla v.s lukas lacko
elena vesnina v.s laura pous tio
shahar peer v.s ksenia pervak
anastasia pivovarova v.s anna tatishvili
sorana cirstea v.s pauline parmentier
mardy fish v.s marcel granollers
philipp kohlschreiber v.s denis istomin
thomaz bellucci v.s rainer shuettler
donald young v.s alexander bogomolov
yanina wickmayer v.s varvara lepchenko
gilles muller v.s tommy haas

if i had to guess i'd say they'd cover venus v.s akgul and they might switch over to milos when that is over but i could also see them switching to fish v.s granollers or even haas v.s muller

were going to have to wait until and if he gets to nadal in the 3rd round
