Mitchell Krueger
Needs a thread now that he has officially gone pro. I would have liked to have seen him play at Texas A&M cause they were about to be one salty team. But o well he made the decision. I doubt we wll hear from him for a few years cause he just got rocked in two straight first rounds after his junior results. But this theard can track his progress.

Aledo tennis standout Krueger, 18, turning pro, moving to Florida
Mitch is guaranteed a USO Q wildcard according to this article:
Quote:
Aledo's Mitchell Krueger, who reached the semifinals of the Wimbledon Junior Championship this month, has signed with the sports management agency Octagon, and has turned pro.
The 18-year-old is the top-ranked American junior and is ranked No. 5 in the world. He had signed with Texas A&M, but instead will move to the USTA training center in Boca Raton, Fla.
"We're excited," said Krueger's mother, Marla. "He signed the contract a couple of days ago, and he's ready to get going."
Krueger, who also reached the semifinals at the French Open Junior Championships in Paris, recently competed in Challenger-level events in Binghamton, N.Y., where he received a wild card into the main draw, and at the Fifth Third Bank Tennis Championships in Lexington, Ky., where he won a first-round qualifying match against Jordan Cox.
Krueger will continue playing ITF junior events in addition to some pro events. He is in Boca Raton preparing for the USTA Boys 18 National Championships on Aug. 5-14, in Kalamazoo, Mich. The winner earns a spot in the U.S. Open main draw.
Krueger, however, is guaranteed a wild-card spot into U.S. Open qualifying, regardless of the outcome in Michigan. He will also continue to compete in the U.S. Open Junior Championships.

Re: Mitchell Krueger
I was hoping that Mitch would take the title at Kalamazoo, but despite the disappointment I'm glad that he stayed and finished the backdraw. Good luck at the Open.

Re: Mitchell Krueger
Mitchell can't complain with his draw. He has Martin Alund, very good claycourter but on hardcourts he's 0-3 in challengers and 2-6 in futures in his career.

Re: Mitchell Krueger
He seems to favor his backhand more than his forehand.

It's definitely his better wing.

Re: Mitchell Krueger
Yes. Hope he gained some confidence for juniors. Now he gets a week and a half to hang around NYC before the start of that and practice with all the top ranked pros. I'm jealous.
