We know what the trend is way down is on one site... Now we can check with many other sources. Thanks. And keep up with the super good work of being my shadow...

Re: Within 2 years MTF lost it's value twice
Well, what are the options? How can this be resolved?
Perhaps the people in charge could look at how things were run and moderated prior to the value debacle, compare it to how things are run and moderated now that the site keeps on losing worth? Perhaps some clues could be found that would explain how this downward trend came about?
If it ain't broke, don't fix it. If the fixin does more and more damage than good as it is obviously the case, perhaps undoing some policies and counterproductive decisions would be advisable, if it is not too late.
It really looks like generally killing the fun, bending over to terrorists and arbitrary repression have not succeeded in salvaging the site.

Can I suggest you PM this to the site administrator and he can do something with the info if he wants. It's really not any of our concern, we just moderate the site.

I would say you are exactly right. Plus play stations and now interactive game playing is becoming more and more popular with people. I know people on other Forums that say the posting is going down so it isn't just MTF.

I seriously doubt that Facebook and Twitter are responsible for a 30% drop ( according to one site) in the last 11 months.
You might have a point about the original drop.

We are administrators of the functions of the site - moderation, forums, that sort of thing. The site admin is the guy connected to the people who own the forums. They might be interested in this, though they haven't shown any as far as I am aware. We are not.

Re: Within 2 years MTF lost it's value twice
i started this thread just for trolling
i am certain twitter and FB (maybe also games like Mae stated, I'm just not games specialist) take away readers/posters
for 4,5 yrs i run a website on my own, it had long hiatuses and was rarely updated in the past, now it's updated every day and better visible to google search and stuff, yet it increased popularity just a bit. in the past many people searched for results, now they're easily found on ATP website - even for the challengers. People watch streams and don't look for commentary.
My page has 305 followers on Twitter and it's a regular website, while people who just tweet about tennis and even run no website (or a blog updated once in a month with a gossip about Sharapova) but have produced 100K tweets have 10K followers
people really go only for score & stream & brevity
it's kinda sad though

Re: Within 2 years MTF lost it's value twice
As starter of the thread you could always request it be closed. It seems like some people always have to have an obsession and once one obsession is taken away from them they just have to find another obsession
