First thread I've ever read here since creating my account awhile back and never using it.... This place is great. from a club player telling us of his future top 100 tennis career to explaining the way in which his penis is positioned in his pants, I have found litteraly the greatest forum on the Internet

JG, here are some questions:

1) What's the largest crowd that watched you play?
2) Do you drink booze or eat pizza? When? How much?
3) What time do you get up everyday? On the weekend?
4) What's your work-out regimen? On court, weights, other...
5) Mental toughness? Do you ever get butterflies or weak legs?
6) Describe your worst tantrums.
7) Any rituals? (ie: tugging undergarments or touching things?)
8) Break down your shots and compare them to the pros (moonballer like nadal? flatballer like djoker? serve like milos?)
9) Self belief (are you a mexiCAN or a mexiCAN'T?)
10)Are you making fun of us in this thread?

certainly win Roger? Even David Ferrer? (Roger 14 - 0 David)
Or, Roger loses even before QF? lol

1- Largest crowd was probably when I played in the Seehafer Broadcasting Open back when I was in college in Orlando. It was at Lake Cane. In the first round I won 5-7, 6-1, 6-2, then took on Patrick Frandji, who was ATP 1090 at the time. I lost 6-0, 6-1, the exact stats I don't have, this was before I took heavy notes during matches. There must have been 20-30 something people watching.

http://tennislink.usta.com/Tournamen...t.aspx?T=85469

2- Booze, no, none. Pizza I try my best to stay away from, but working at a Pizza place working in the lion's den, sometimes I break, I am human, yes. I have food in my car and do workouts after each delivery. 10 reps here, 10 reps there.

3- The time I get up depends on whether I worked until 1-2 AM the night before or not.

4- Ideally would be 3 hours on court and then another hour in the gym, and 10-12 hours of sleep. Due to my job, I only can do about half of that, and at most 8 hours a night. This also depends on whether or not I have the insomnia after work late.

5- I am very mentally tough. Of course you get the butterflies, but only with them can one play his best.

6- Tantrums, probably racquet smashes, and yes I pay for them myself but still it is almost impossible to contain. I have calmed it down much in recent years, however. I recall one time I played a practice match with a fellow club player and I was leading, but the final game serving out went like 10 deuces, and I continued to curse loudly at my inability to close it out. Lots of profanity, but no racquet smash.

7- Rituals I always like to go to the towel after almost every point. If I win a point on a 2nd serve or with a good shot, I want to try to play the next point with that lucky ball.

8- My game, it is very unique. I play with a Wilson Pro Staff 85, my forehand is my best weapon, also speed around the court. Flat, spin, cross, DTL, whatever is necessary with the forehand. My backhand I used to hit with 2 hands, but left wrist injury forced me to change to 1 hand in September 2011. Now is a very powerful one hand BH, especially taking on the rise. I have difficulty if I allow the ball to get up high, and with my 175 cm height, I must work myself into position to move fast and take on the rise before it gets too high. My defensive slice I believe can improve. My volleys, when behind a strong approach, are adequate, but in need of improvement absolutely. BH volley is excellent, but FH volley could use work. Overhead is Jekyll and Hyde. Speaking of Jekyll and Hyde, also my serve. Sometimes I hit awesome serves, giving me short balls and sometimes even a missed return. Othertimes, I serve the most hideous DF.

9- Self belief, do you really have to ask?

10- No way.

YES! Oh man, that old sport CD... I almost miss that ridiculous douchebag. He deserved to win at least 1 ACC but the year that he peaked, Filo V swooped in from nowhere and stole the trophy from right under his nose. Too bad.
And yes, please send the link.

10-12 hours of sleep is too much. The optimal amount is 7-8.5

For regular people maybe. Otherwise, it is not enough time to recover. Federer was known to sleep 12 hours a day in his prime.
