Perhaps she is better than you think?
That may very well be the case, hell I don't know if I could beat this kid but what I do know is that there definitely are guys on MTF who could beat her (who don't have ATP aspirations).

The more I think of it, the more I simply cannot let it go. I've got to find a coaching job to make some money. Probably another month of Dominos, maybe 2 at the most. Got that Performance Coaching Workshop in a few weeks, gotta make some connections there. In the meantime, gotta keep improving, holding out, I am about to burst, about to go crazy if I don't break the fuck through

Gonna ask Sly to play Coco Best of 5 tomorrow
Thing is, feels to me you want to be famous more than anything else. Fame is a byproduct of success, not an end to itself and I don't get why it should be. It must be quite a burden, honestly and I don't understand why you don't pursue things in life that you are actually good at and where you could make an actual contribution .

Just imagine if that 1700 guy took a set off someone who took a set off Steve Darcis. Practically means you could go toe to toe with Rafael Nadal and have a 50/50 chance of beating him.

2nd set I start to play better, hold, then get the first break for 2-0, then hold again, 3-0. She holds for 3-1, then I fight to hold for 4-1. She holds for 2-4, I hold for 5-2, and break for 6-2.

3-6, 6-2, and then she had to go home to do some homework, I had to go to work. Was a great level of play and we gonna train again tomorrow.
You built momentum and instead of carrying it to the final set you let it go because she had to do some homework? You should've done it for her

Few months ago you were retiring every couple of weeks mixed with plans to peak between 35-40, so I'll take this with a grain of salt
That isn't doing you much good, if you want to be completely serious you must stay entirely focused and start fixing things you need to fix, like your serve, fitness training, getting a coach, however you can.

And about how that girl is so incredibly good, you are completely missing the point, which is, even a remotely serious competitive player at 24 should never get even close to what you did. Period.

Yes I've retired and un-retired 3 times already this year. Just goes to show the mental battle it is, the rollercoaster of emotions. Who knows what today will bring? Who knows what tomorrow will bring?

Every day just trying to find a way. If you haven't realized by now, my story is not exactly comparable to anyone else. I am blazing my own trail. Losing to Coco is a mere footnote. In 10 years, when we are both top 10 in the world, we can laugh about it with the media

10 years from now when Coco is getting interviewed by a WTA reporter (and you are managing Domino's):

"What was your most embarassing childhood result, Coco?"

"Hmmm...let's see. I would say splitting sets with Johnny Groove."

You know, people don't respect the women's game enough. Roddick was losing to Serena and Venus at 11 and 12. Stella Sampras says she was still beating little brother Pete Sampras until he was 16! Pete alleges that he could beat her by the time he was 14, but still. A 14 year old Sampras still losing to his sister? Hell, Jimmy Connors never beat his mother in a match until he was 14!

You'd be well on your way earning some of it if you brought that same enthusiasm into the business world . Imagine you motivating fellow employees when a deadline is closing: "These are the nights we're going to remember!"

You're chances of becoming a Hollywood actor are probably worse than you winning a futures match Groove. Surely you must know how hard it is for a black actor to get a break in Hollywood and they have been practicing their whole lives unlike you.

Right.

When are you going to stop this farce and just drop the sport? Good god, this entire thread is a mess
