Dana International not to qualify for the final @ 1.55

Unless she/he has been fooling everyone in all the rehearsals so far, this will end up dead last tomorrow.

Estonia to finish outside top 10 @ 2.45

From what I've heard, this has been a big disappointment so far.

If Europe "gets" it, then France will win this thing like bookies seem to think. Vocally it's stunning, it's an opera-like song. Not worth the odds tho (2.75 or something like that).

Bosnia seems to be very popular, but I don't know. It sounds a bit dull and like a typical Balkan song, if that makes any sense.

UK's song is very slick, boyband-like. Not getting many votes from Eastern Europe I think.

Estonia, Azerbaijan and Hungary are hugely overrated imo, although that's always dangerous to say with neighbor-voting going on.

I fancy Sweden & Russia to do very well. It will attract a lot of woman and gay voters.

Denmark is another strong outsider. Easy popsong, which will do very well (like last year).

My personal favorite is Slovenia by a mile. Surprised it's not doing well at the books, but that's probably because it doesn't have many voting"friends".

France is a massive favourite with the bookies, we're talking 2/1 favourite and shortening, the next favourite, Ireland ( Ireland huh? ) is like 9/1 and the UK - which I like a lot, I always liked Blue anyway, is 3rd fav alongside Azerbaijan.

So is there any point to go for any of the other songs except for France - which is easily the most stunning song - in hopes that there is a surprise and if so, which one?
The bookies usually get it right you know, but I don't wanna end up in the wrong side of a surprise especially at such ridiculously low odds.

Any suggestions? Will the UK make top 3?
Looks like the return of the West will continue this year, as some of the sleeping giants seem to be taking things more seriously at last.

Cyprus not to qualify @ 1.40
Ukraine to qualify @ 1.45
Netherlands to qualify @ 4.90 ( worth a shot at these odds, there are no better songs than this one in the second semi which are lower than 1.30. )

You don't have to say sorry, mainly because we will finish in top10 come Saturday.

Azerbaijan and Russia were dreadful vocally.
The Azeri have drawn a good spot for the final tho so expect it to finish top 5. Potentially it's a winning song (like Safura last year) but the performance kills it.

The Swiss were suprisingly good. Easy popsong which will get stuck in your head.
Greece stood out? That was horrible. Agree on Swiss song being rather good.

Coulpe of years back, that was true. But now with the new voting system (50% jury, 50% televoting) it's better. That means we have hope that the Justin Bierber/Enrique Iglasias wannabe from Sweden will go hom tomorrow.

Not according to the bookies, so I'd like to see him getting his ass beat in the final if it's not gonna be tonight...if it's gonna be tonight, the lay odds are quite fantastic.

Second semi is gonna be much closer, there are many similar songs vying for a place in the final...there will be some surprising exits, the challenge is to find which ones...Ireland perhaps? I can't see much worthwhile beyond their gimmick.

Is Europe's infatuation with Lena still alive? Cause I'm tempted to go for her song to not make the top 10 but then again it's a bit scary - just like her song.

The bookies can be wrong. Turkey and Armenia had odds around 1.05-1.10 to advance to the final. I really hope Sweden will get eliminated in the semi, i'll probably put a few bucks on it.

The fact with turkey's elimination was, none of our ''friendly'' countries were eligible to vote for us on first semi, but even then i ve never seen this coming thankfully i never bet on lower then 1.2 and my bank was saved.
And again, 90% of eurovision results depend on politics and neighbourship relations.
12 points from cyprus goes to greece

It's getting better with the rule changes. Switzerland and Hungary got into the final and they diefiniately didn't get votes from close countries. (No Austria/Germany/Italy or Austria/Slovenia/Slovakia/Romania/Czech Rep. in the first semi.)
