Tought i'd open a fresh thread for Marin and the upcoming 2 hard court masters for two reasons - one because they are big tourneys and other because he is playing well again.

First reminder what he did here last year. After having a great start of 2010. he started loosing his form and he only has to defend a total of 100 points from these 2 tournaments.

In Indian Wells he was Bye in first round and in second suprisingly lost in probably one of his worst matches last year against Guillermo Garcia-Lopez 7:6 6:0 so got only 10 points there.

In Miami he was Bye again then in round 2 defeated Robert, round 3 Bagdatis and 1/8 finals lost to Verdasco 6:4 7:6. He has 90 points from this one.

Let's hope he gets a good draw and can get alot of points and maybe go deep in one of the tournaments too.

He should atleast win the first match of round 2 to gain 35 extra points and then see who comes in R3, Wawrinka (H2H record 2-4 but won last 2 in 2010.) or Davydenko (H2H 3-1, lost last one in 2010.), after that possibly Berdych who he beat in Marseille not long ago (H2H 1-2).

Allright, this was quite good!

Won 6:1, 6:3 in just 55 minutes, broke Serra's serve 4 times and didn't loose his. Only faced 2 BP's in a single game but saved them. Solid number of aces and won almost all of his points on the first serve.

Next up mister Wawrinka, if he wins plays winner between Berdych and Belluci.

Yesterday too low percentage of first serves and too many UE's. I saw something i liked though, he didn't give up and also he went to the net quite often and it was almost always successful.
+35 points from the tournament anyway.

Draw for Miami is out and i think Marin has a good chance here.
Last year he got 90 points so he would have to atleast win two matches to defend that.
