2011 Pac 10 Singles and Doubles Championships
Draws are finally up! Here
Heavy favorites are Steve Johnson and Klahn/Thacher.
Singles seeds
1. Steve Johnson
2. Bradley Klahn
3. Kyle McMorrow
4. Ryan Thacher
5. Amit Inbar
Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan
Daniel Nguyen
Ray Sarmiento
For some reason 4 people were listed as #5 seeds. Daniel Kosakowski, Pedro Zerbini, Carlos Cueto and Jaak Poldma are not in the draw. I can't think of any other missing top players at the moment.
Doubles seeds
1. Klahn/Thatcher
2. Johnson/Sarmiento
3. Poldma/Sundling
4. Brigham/Puget
There's also an invitational section.

Re: 2011 Pac 10 Singles and Doubles Championships
any reason why those 4 are not in the singles draw? Just elected not too?
I think there are 4 5 seeds because they each have teh same weight in the draw. Will be assorted randomly. The USTA site labels them as the same seed I believe

Re: 2011 Pac 10 Singles and Doubles Championships
All 4 of them played last weekend, so I don't think it is due to injury. They are certainly high enough ranked to merit seeds, which is why I noticed their absence. Poldma is still playing doubles, so he is still making the trip. Maybe the coaches decided to give them a rest? I don't believe anyone has to play the tournament.
There's nothing yet about the Pac 10's on Cal's website, while USC's article just says "so and so are playing", and UCLA's website has an article that doesn't even list who is playing. College tennis is like this, though. So hard to get timely updates or news about anything.

Re: 2011 Pac 10 Singles and Doubles Championships
Results are starting to filter in here http://tennislink.usta.com/Tournamen...px?T=99869&E=5
Results so far
Emilio Gomez d. Andre Vidaller 6-2; 6-2
(5) Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan d. Riki Mclachlan 4-6; 7-5; 6-2
Adrien Puget d. Marton Bots 6-4; 6-1
(4) Ryan Thacher d. Aaron Clissold 6-4; 7-5
I don't know where to get livescores but UCLA's twitter is at least updating about their players.

Re: 2011 Pac 10 Singles and Doubles Championships
Kosakowski isn't in because he is playing in the Future in Florida. He is in the quarters as well
