Shamasdin at a career high of 61 on the back of his final appearance last week! I hope he finds a regular partner soon (this week he is in Stuttgart with Gonzalez).

It would be nice if he could team up with Pospisil (they played together with some success in 2009 and 2010) but that's not viable while Pospisil is making his singles career a priority.

Adil had a nice first round doubles win today at the Mercedes Cup in Germany (ATP). He (along with Gonzales) beat Monfils and Simon.

Why dont PLD and Eric or any other Canadians ever team up during the majority of season but instead team up with other nationalities? I think it be cool if PLD and Adil team up together, they are the two best doubles players in the country after Danny Nestor. This way, Adil will have a regular partner.

Because Erik and Pierre both want to focus on singles competition and they dont want to have to coordinate what tournaments to play just so they can play doubles together.

For Adil, he often plays tour level tournaments where Duclos couldn't even play qaulies in the singles so it it wouldn't make sense. Only way it would work is if Duclos wanted to abandon his singles career and only focus on doubles.

Arash Madani is reporting that Nestor has a left wrist injury he suffering at Wimbledon. He's playing with it heavily taped. That maybe explains why he and Pospisil didn't play Newport together.

This is too bad for Nestor for his last Olympics.

i dont know if it will affect him to much. As long as its not to serious he should be okay. Freddie nielsen played from midway through the first set of the wimbledon finals with a wrist injury

There is no way of comparing two wrist injuries.

It's cool that you say that after they already won. They've won and they still have a 35% chance to lose, that's interesting. I'll forgive you though, you probably don't get a lot of canadian mens doubles coverage in Norway

Popsicle played really well. Nestor actually dropped off considerably in the 2nd set, particularly the return of serve - Vashy picked up the slack. Well done.

canadian interest in tennis anyway comes to and end..for now

im not sure if a team actually qualified to played mixed doubles but its probably better for dan if they didnt because neither aleks or stephanie would be able to help him out at all, he'd basically have to play by himself out there.
