So he's back to Wilson after a short trial with Dunlop racquet. It was somewhat expected, as he said it gave more power but less feel. Not sure if wearing that Adidas gear today means something or not.

Vasek's on court against Zverev in Memphis. Likely to get Levine if he wins, a nice chance to make another MD.

A loss against Zverev in qualifying in Memphis. Vasek needs to learn how to elevate his game when playing lower-ranked players. He seems to show his best stuff when the underdog.

you have these players that really wake up for the big names and then let down against lower ranked players and as said he definately seems to be one of those guys

that being said zverev is heavily under ranked

zverev is talented, you cant argue that he's not and i do think he is better then where he is

its disappointing though in a way because until he gets past that he's probably going to continue to linger around where he is now in the ranks

Vasek needs to improve facing left-handed players

So far this year, he's lost to Carsten Ball, Ruben Bemelmans, Andreas Beck and now Mischa Zverev.

All in straight sets.

That's a whopping 4/5 of his 2012 losses (not counting Davis Cup results)

It can't be just a coincidence

Vasek is the top seed in Delray Beach Qualifying and is down 5-2 40-0 to Benjamin Balleret when rain suspended play. Vasek needs to work on his return game and second serve. They have been big weaknesses this year based on his statistics.

The main thing he needs to work on is just hitting the ball in on routine shots.

Too bad to hear he is down to such a low ranked aging player.

Has a really nice draw too, shame to not take advantage of it.

I think it's time to go back to the Challengers. This ATP stint hasn't gone well.
