Good two weeks in Korea for Vasek!
One win and one final for 33 points which should move him up to around 210 in the rankings next Monday.
He only has 4pts to defend until September so he should have a steady rise up the rankings over the next three months!

According to the Korean tennis news story on the Changwon finals, as hilariously translated by google, Vasek was planning to play Wimbledon qualies (this is about the only part of the article that was clear in translation). So if his name is really not on the list, maybe he forgot to sign up.

Oh, I made a wrong assumption that alternates(from page2) were the ones who are going to play qualies. Yes, Q-list are supposed to be out on 23rd. |

According to the Wimby Q-list, Vasek just made the cut for qualies. So right now we have 3 Canadians in qualies + Milos in MD. |

Eastbourne is Wimby qualies week, so he can't go there. I guess he'll play qualies at Nottingham-2, then head to Roehampton.

Top 50 for Vasek is a stretch. Top 100 is a much more realistic goal in my opinion. Its quite a large leap still from futures and challengers to the main tour. |

oops, when i said top 50 i was thinking in the 50's, worded it wrong
but yeah, that still might be to high
i think anywhere between 60-80 is probably closer

Here is the deal with Vasek, he has had a good run recently, but I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if he lost first round of Wimbledon Q. He hasn't shown enough consistancy to convince me yet, but I guess I could see him in the top 100 by the middle of next year.
